We say Isiah wants to get fired, and who knows, but I missed the Suns game last week, but from everything I hear, they gave a hard ass effort and then after that, the effort was just gone (I saw those games.) It may sound silly, but is it possible that the players were so insulted from the Marbury situation, that they have grown fed up with Isiah that they will risk their New York careers to either get him fired or perhaps make Isiah deal them? They aren't even working hard during practice, and it's bad enough that Isiah has to kick them out??? This is after a terrible blowout loss mind you. I can tell you this, after being kicked out of practice for not working hard, if they don't work hard tonight or play real stupid, I really think this should be taken into heavy consideration. That's b/c some of these players have massive egos, and there's NO WAY they can accept this embarrassment and continue with this poor work ethic, without taking their pride into consideration.

Either way, there's no excuse for the poor play, and there's no excuse for Isiah losing HIS ENTIRE FREAKING TEAM! Isiah should be gone, the team should be traded.

Not tanking per se, but lacking in the motivation to perform at the best of their ability.

Even if they liked Isiah as a person (which I think a lot of them do?), its hard to put out a serious effort in the face of this circus.

I would say no. But Isiah is under a lot of stress and it's probably showing up in his relations with players. Plus I'm sure they're very tired of Isiah and Marbury having a more dramatic marriage than Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor.

This can't go on much longer.

What if they get completely blown out tonight. Sure they may dislike the boos for Isiah and Marbury, but hey, this is their careers and their team. Show some pride. I really can't find another explaination.

Isiah is stealing the players joy so they have every right to quit this year

For a precedent: See LB's season

At least he isn't starting Malik Rose at small forward.

Who knows, maybe this is all right from the top with Jimmy and Isiah at the controls. What better way to tank than to start all of this controversy with Marbury and make it appear the team is in complete disarray. I mean forget maybe, this thing IS in total disarray. But maybe they are trying to put themselves in the best possible position for the upcoming draft in June. I wouldn't put it past them. In fact if that is what's going on here, I'd applaud it. I mean seriously, what the hell are we winning this year anyway. The Celtics practically ran away with the East already.

One this is certain, we all know eventually this thing is gonna roll on without Marbury. I think Isiah and Dolan finally realized that. The upcoming draft this summer is top-heavy with a ton of potential replacements...

I think the players have given up, yes. To what benefit? I don't even think they know. As a whole this bunch isn't all that witty.

I have a bad feeling tonight is going to be one of those "make a point to the coach and management" type games. We haven't had one of those in a while. I didn't feel the Denver blowout was one.

I could see this team getting blown out within the first few moments of the game and then taking the rest of the game off.

This thing is not done getting worse IMO far from it.

I guess Isiah cannot lose:
42-40 - he is a hero making this team better
22-60 - he is a hero in putting team in great position at draft night...

Come on man... he has no idea what he is doing... never had...

Getting blown out tonight would be the best thing that could happen. The worst would be if they start playing .400-.500 ball to extend the agony indefinitely.

I never root for my team to lose but if someone told me today that if the Knicks lose tonight Isiah is fired - but if they win he stays on - then yes, for the first time that I can ever remember, I'd root for the team to lay down and die so we can begin a new era.

If anyone remembers it took a good long dose of FIYAH LAYDEN to get Jimmy D to do anything about it. If I recall Stern told Jimmy D to get on with it back then, too.

So, here we are a new chapter but same circumstances. Stern wants Isiah gone. Fans want Isiah gone. A few good heavy doses of Garden booing MIGHT get Jimmy Boy off his five chinned ass!

Good point, after the Marbury vote, it's like a slap in all the players faces.
Isiah asks them if they want Marbury, they say no, he plays Marbury.
Where is the accountability.

Lotto, here we come! :) (Just keep Isiah till then).
