then you didn't watch the last game vs DEN... Marcus Camby dominated us defensively & when u have a guy like that who can block & alter shots, it saps the confidence out of the other team on offense... they start second guessing their shots in the paint, they start to settle for ill-advised perimeter shots instead of driving into the paint, they start to lose focus on passes coming into the low post & commit stupid turnovers because they're so damn worried about who's in back of them that's getting ready to swat their shot attempts.

we need a damn shotblocker on this team!

Any time you've got a guy that can stop people from coming into the paint or make people alter their shots when coming to make them more difficult, he's going to make a world of difference for your defense. Especially when he can do that without getting into constant foul trouble. You're taking away a huge chunk of the oppositions offensive game.

With a 32 point deficet, it probably wouldn't of mattered if Camby played or not. Our defense was the biggest problem.
I'll never trust this' team again.

williams is looking good...but kidd makes EVERYONE look better than they are. but his defensive instincts are pretty good.

it goes hand in hand w/a general loss of confidence on the offensive end... you start to slack on defense when nothing's going right for you on offense... the defense being the biggest problem is exactly why we need a shotblocker in the worst way... a guy like Camby can energize your team on the offensive end... look at how DEN was running ragged on us all night long because of all those fastbreaks that Camby generated w/his rebounding & blocked shots... this is what i'm talking about... it's way to simplified for someone to say that shotblocking's overrated without considering all these factors that go along with having a dominant intimidator in the paint.

And we used to have this guy and he was great for us, except he was always inured. He gets older and seems to get better. I'm affraid to pick him up again. Be just our luck, one of his legs falls in the middle of a game. Can't win.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Rod Thorn made a good move taking him... i have my doubts that Isiah would have even if Sean Wil was still on the draft board... he seemed to be set on Wilson Chandler... it's a wonder to me how this kid can't even get any minutes on this team to see if he can actually play after Isiah was so high on him.

Nobody questioned his athletic ability, just his maturity and whether or not he could stay clean.

He's looking good and if he can stay clean, he can be a very useful player. The Knicks could use someone like him.
