You can answer however you'd like buddy.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Here's how I'll answer:


I like Z-Bo, but in this league, if you're to be considered an All-Star PF you need to do it on both ends. Neither guy does, so give me Lee...

Better for chemistry, better FG%.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

If you cant trade one of them for a 2 way perimeter player trade the one that gets you the best player

Scoring is replaceable.
23 or 17 per is not a big difference.
Rebounding is good for both.
Defense is better by Lee but just by effort.
This just is why I like Lee better.
Also he is dependable 100% and he does so many small things to help team win.

Sometimes I have to wonder about what you guys are seeing...you know that big rebound by Artest on Kevin Martin's OT foul shots? That wasn't Curry's fault. It was Lee who was boxing out Artest, and got out-muscled to the rebound by Artest, when Lee had the inside position.

Do you think that would have happened to Zach Randolph?

No way.

Randolph would have had 20+ rebounds vs. the Kings.

They are both good. Zach is a better scorer. Lee is a better passer and high fg% shooter. If your team needed a complimentary player that would not get in the way of the center, I would go with Lee. If your team needed scoring, I would go with Zach in a heart beat. I told guys that Zach was a solid player. He is the kind of guy who is not afraid to stepup his game in the 4th quarter. He is definitely not part of the problem on this team.

Oohah, I like the efficiency of Lee's game, but I will agree that if they were making the same amount of money, most people would go with Zach without a doubt. The rebounding is a wash. If Lee were a better defender there might be an argument, but other than passing and fg%, I cannot think of one thing Lee does better. He is a more fluid though in the open court, but Randolph's ability to hit jumpers and score around the paint more than offsets that.

D Lee... i think Zach's a better player but Lee doesn't have that horrendous salary & he does more than just rebound the ball... i love the team's energy whenever he's on the floor... i think he's the type of role player that every winning team would love to have.

Yeah but after next year we are going to have to pay lee $7.5-$10 mill a year. Now is Zach $4-$5 mill better than Lee is the question.

Most GMs seem to think so. They obviously know when Lee's contract expires and they obviously want him and not Zach.

I perfer Lee aswell. He's a much better passer than Zach, higher fg %, rruns the floor better and is just great role player that all winning teams seem to have. With that said, I'd rather trade Zach before I trade Curry. Lee and Zach can't play together for long stretches. Both are PF's and undersized in some instances when they play against those long, athletic PF's like Rasheed, KG etc.

I'd trade Zach for a hybrid PF/Center similar to Tyson Chandler. That way, Lee, Curry and the Chandler like player can rotate and play with each other without many if any matchup problems.

The knicks are gonna have to pay David to keep him in a few.....7-10 mill to keep a guy like lee sounds about right. So in those terms.....somebody has to go and that is Lee.

The point about 60% shooting for lee is overrated cuz david lee can't make a jumpshot. Everything he takes is close to the basket. Lee brings great intangibles and when the pace quickens he is a dangerous player.

Still.......zach does everything lee can do except maybe get off the ground faster.

Its a matter of favorites....as far a this team.....its a shame but David should be moved for someone that can actually bring something the knicks lack

Cosign. It's not hard to see why none of the young talented players Zach played with never had a breakout year with him there. He suffocates team chemistry and I know ya'll going to think I'm crazy............. he is very, very good rebounder no doubt, but dude be stealing his own teammates boards. I guess you could say he is tenacious, but he be looking like a prick fighting our teammates for boards.

I'd say Zach's low post scoring and jump shooting is overrated because he shoots in the 40s (FG%), averages many turnovers, and can't pass. It's arguable whether that really is superior to having someone whose offense is more limited but shoots 60% and passes better. (And that's ignoring all the "personality baggage" Zach has.)
