Team Votes Marbury Out; Isiah Keeps Him In

Some of you may have heard about this by now -- remember, I'm three hours earlier and in the midst of traveling from LA to Sacramento -- but Johnny Ludden, the former longtime San Antonio Spurs writer who has moved on to Yahoo.com fame, posted a report last night after the Knicks loss to the Clippers that said the players voted against allowing Stephon Marbury to play in the game.

Isiah played him anyway and afterward it was clear that several players on the team were furious.

What kind of message does this send to someone such as Nate Robinson, who has done everything asked of him during the offseason?

So to answer that question in your head, Fixers, yes, it can get worse. And it's about to.

Stephon must have some serious dirt.

I'll check in from Sacramento . . .

I said his treatment was totally out of line. Also Isola mentioned yesterday many of his teammates have no respect for him even before this happened.

Everyone but Marbury should go home for the next game, just to even the score.

That would be great but the NBA would never allow it. They could all skip the morning shoot-around.

Holy ****.

From Larry Brown, To Anucha Brown-Sanders to this?

What in God's name could be next? You think Steph and Isaiah slept together?
Let it be known: I believe in the Knicks this year-- deep into the playoffs, I swear to you my brothers...

wow. i'm not sure if this is at all true, but if it is... IT had the players unanimously saying one thing. he threw that away to play for the win, and lost anyway. what could possibly happen next?

At this point, Dolan should put IT out of his misery. If he would have fired him last year, IT might have been able to salvage his reputation. Now, no one will be hiring him to do anything but scouting or maybe a low-level assistant for the next 10-15 years (maybe by 2020 people will have forgotten). Just end it before the next even more outlandish thing happens. What if the players get so pissed that they don't show up for a game?

Zeke was a frequent visitor to the back seat of the track…
And Anucha refused to participate. B... B...
