Wilson Chandler is the only athletic small forward on the team that can shoot the 3 , slash to the basket and defend and he gets no run.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Isiah said he is about winning games (so that shouldn't be a factor), those guys who make more money at that position aren't helping him do that.

Allow Wilson Chandler a chance to get his feet wet and he would keep some of those one dimesional guys on the bench.

Mark my words, if we keep losing you will see Wilson Chandler with a lot more playing time... maybe even as early as tonight.

No it comes down to last night the knicks missed 17-18 straight shots.

They even rotated the ball around to Jerried Jeffries who was playing sf to shoot from the perimitter in the drought stretched and he bricked it.

Wilson chandler adds to the knicks that the other sf don't bring is what i'm saying.

What do you think is our weakest position is.... SF
He brings the total packagae that can only be shown with playing time.

Although just a rookie , he's the best sf on the team to groom into being a contribtor night in and night out and it would motivate the other sf's to check themselves.

he looked decent against phoenix- he should get more time.

But then JJ2 is the glue - and when he releases the ball, its evident

I was shocked that Chan didn't get any PT last night. I thought he had earned a look with his performance the night before. The guy is so clearly more talented than any other SF we have right now. I don't know what Isiah is waiting for at this point. He fits our needs perfectly from that position.

In the near future I want to see us go with Mardy, Jamal, Q, Zach & Curry - Steph, Lee, Chan, Nate Balk. No more Malik. If we really need another big then use Jared or Morris. The change to go with the kids is now overdue. Jones is gonna have to accept getting very inconsistent minutes and a lot of DNP's. There are just not enough minutes. With Balk likely out for a while, this is the perfect time to get Chan a good look.

he's still just a rookie. which means he'll be raw, inexerienced, and inconsistent. Because of that, he probably isn't an upgrade over q at SF even though he seems to have more natural basketball skills than q.

I think Chandler should play as well. If we ever get Mardy and the Balkster back, we should have this lineup most of the time...

C-DLee
PF-Zach
SF-Balkman
SG-Chandler
PG-Mardy

The perimeter defense would be outstanding and DLee and Z-Bo would flat out dominate the boards.

I think you will see a lineup like that for good stretches of games.

play a zone with that lineup and we get many droughts in the course of a ball game.

Every line-up we walk out there will have some major holes in it. That's what happens when your roster isn't balanced. Basketball 101

Very few teams have solid 2 way players throughout the line up. There are some, but many more teams have holes. Once we find a better rotation that can plug up some of the defensive holes, I think we'll be fine. I was looking at Denver and how lopsided their scoring was in a few games. They go 25 and 25 from Melo and AI, about 12 and 11 from JR Smith and Kleiza and 10 from Camby. AFter that it's practically nothing from anyone else. The difference is the consistency with which they've produced so far. We've been far more inconsistent. I think we will get to a point where that isn't happening so much and we'll be alright.

Is the goal to be like the "many more teams" or is the goal to be like the "very few". In my view the goal should be like the teams that have the balanced roster and to not settle til you get there. If we want to keep building around an imbalanced core, these inconsistent results are all you are going to get. If you are okay with that, that's fine, I'm not mad at you.

If your franchise guys are one way players you are really digging yourself a hole that is impossible to get out of.

why play a young rookie w/promise when you have battle tested veterans like Jared Jefferies on the floor?
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

pg CRAWFORD
sg BALKMAN
sf chandler
pf lee
c z-bo

This lineup would be a defense's nightmare on a fast break with z-bo and lee kicking the outlet passes with the remainding players(craw -chandler-balkman) being strong finishers on the break.

Also this lineup would be good in a half court with chandler and crawford taking turn keeping the pressure off zach in the post with lee grabbing offensive boards.

do it zeke!
