Marbury belongs on that team due to his efforts so far this year.

As of now amongst Eastern Conf GUARDS:

Jamal Crawford
- #5 in scoring at 20.2 ppg (42.7% FG/35.7% 3-FG)
- #11 in assists at 5.7
- #11 in steals at 1.5 spg

Stephon Marbury

- #13 in scoring amongst East guards at 15.2 ppg (40% FG/44% 3-FG)
- #6 in assists at 6.8 apg

Amongst Eastern Forwards

Zach Randolph

- #6 in ppg (20.2)
- #2 in rpg (13.5)
- Tied for #2 in double-doubles

David Lee

- #32 in ppg (9.0)
- #10 in rpg (7.5)

Amongst Eastern Centers

Eddy Curry

- #2 in ppg (18.5)
- #1 in FG % (65.3%)
- #9 in rpg (6.5)
- surprisingly, Curry is 14th in blocks at .67 but then again, Jamal is averaging .5 bpg

Fortunately, defense is really not accounted for in All-Star voting

Only Zach has a chance.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Chris Bosh, Toronto
Kevin Garnett, Boston
LeBron James, Cleveland
Paul Pierce, Boston
Tayshaun Prince, Detroit

AT LEAST these guys are ahead of him. Then he has to compete with the next tier of guys.

^ Tayshaun Prince?

Get real.

And where the hell did Paul Pierce come from? There are usually 5 big men on the team...

Sf's don't count.

The ballots go by "Forward" not "Power Forward"
One hundred twenty players – 60 each from the Eastern and Western conferences – are listed on the NBA All-Star ballot, with 24 guards, 24 forwards and 12 centers from each conference comprising the list. Voters select two guards, two forwards and one center from each conference.

I tried to keep it to the shoo-ins.
It's possible Z-Bo can compete against the rest.

How many SF's made it last year?

Like 2? Lebron and Butler.

Cmon now. No way Prince makes it.

Last year the East had 4 Big Men. If Shaq is injured, Zach could be a replacement. Or they could be fair and vote in 5 big men instead of 7 guards...

Whatever bro. My point was not that Prince would make it above Lebron or Butler.
My point is that he's going to get more votes than Z-Bo.

I doubt even that.

Zach has more pull at PF than Prince does at SF.

Butler, Deng, Jefferson and Pierce all have more collateral than Prince so far.

Only KG and Bosh do over Zach.
