They say you cant build in New York, the city and the fans wont allow it and that we demand a winner. Or at the very least a team in the hunt. We've been mediocre for since we lost to Toronto in the first round something like six or seven years ago. Lover or Hater we've constantly put up with false hopes and one losing season after another and waited and waited for a winning team. When will the organization realize that we should just freakin rebuild.

We had the 8th pick in the 2002 draft and the 9th pick in the 2003 draft, pair that up with our draft picks of 05,06,07. Im sure we could of had built something better than Isiah has done through trades.

Blame Marbury all you want(he does deserve blame) but the emphasis of the blame should be put on Isiah and Dolan. These clowns have made the Knicks a laughing stock.

Its alright that Magic Johnson didnt want to accept the GM position but why'd he have to reccommend Isiah to Dolan!!!

I think the "you can't rebuild in NY" is a myth to excuse bad management decisions.

Rebuilding can occur anywhere. The fact that it wouldn't be allowed was a decision management made, not the fans.

Despite this myth, occasionally you'll see a NY sports team other than the Knicks who does succeed in some form of a successful rebuild.

we really do have the worst management/owner in the NBA. I mean after how many losing seasons do you finally say okay this is not working, lets try something different. Charles Dolan needs to strip little jimmy of the Knicks because we all know the Knicks are not going to be sold.

It's not about rebuilding or winning a title. It's about fooling fans into buying tickets. Dolan doesn't care if knicks win 60 or 20 as long as the building is full and he's making money. That's all he cares about. Dolan thinks if he says "We rebuilding". He'll have 30 people attend games.

He's totally wrong. If this knicks team had the last few #1's they gave away over years. People would show and support team and have some hope.

Now the hope is gone. And most fans just pray it doesn't get any worse.

Arent you the guy on RGM who said Isiah and Marbury had a brawl, when they didn't?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

You can't rebuild in NY because the Knicks are run by a corporation seeking immediate profits and we're screwed.

The not-so-satisfying reality is if Isiah had rebuilt from the start we would be in a much better place and probably would not have been any worse in those four seasons than we already were.

So the answer clearly is: You can rebuild in New York, and you could have rebuilt in New York, and our fans can get behind a team with a sense of direction and get behind some underdog youth while the process took shape.

What we can't stand is being lied to, being promised of success, then watching them stink it up, not give effort, barely improve, blame their ineptitude on outside factors and forces that they can not control, then outright embarass our intelligence with continued excuse making and continued empty promises while displaying the same disgusting play on the court, and finally embarrass themselves and the franchise with outbursts such as our supposed star player coming to blows with our coach/gm/pres.

It's a wreck, clean it up, and rebuild.

Real fans can be patient with a rebuild with a plan.

What about Rangers?
It was the rebuild.
And then they used the money power they have this year to back it up with big additions.
I think you can't rebuild slow in NY. But in 2-3 years it is complitely acceptable by all interested parties.

It takes more than two years in basketball to do a full rebuild. Considering how much garbage this team has, it's gonna take at least 5 years to get to the point where we're an elite team, although there should be continuous progress each year.

can anyone save this team? http://www.jockbio.com/Bios/Marbury/Marbury.Images/Marbury.Bio.09.gif
I want to leave something that's going to stand for a long timeI want to leave a legacy,I want to leave tradition.I want to leave an imprint,a blueprint in terms of how people play, and how they coach and how they respond when they put on the Knick uni.
