Same minutes (36.3), points (20.2), steals (1.0), assists (1.5).

Zach has slight edge in rebounding (13.5 vs. 12.5), Al in blocks (0.5 vs 0.3).

The only real difference is Al is more efficient (slightly less fouls & turnovers; better FG & FT%)

Here's 2 recent quotes from Tsherkin on RealGM:

On Randolph:
Overall, he ranks as Curry's superior, despite a grievous lack of fouls drawn... much like Jefferson, only worse on defense

On ranking him:
I think I'd have stuck Randolph in with a 4.4, just behind Jefferson, or a 4.5 and have him tied with Al. They score similarly, making moves in the post that don't draw a stunning number of fouls per shot the way Dwight does. He was a solid rebounder, a better-than-expected passer and pretty good about taking care of the ball. Yeah, I think a 4.5 does Randolph justice.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

We had many debates last yr how Al Jefferson would surpass Curry and he's well on his way.

On his way? Jefferson passed Curry sometime last March.

This year he distances himself even more.

In a couple of years it'll be a laughable comparison.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

The only reason I didn't give him the edge is because of his half season. I was going to wait until Jan to make the final decision on the comparison just to be fair. But yeah there's no doubt Jefferson is the better talent. He actually has a jumper, multiple post moves, and plays on the other end of the court. Bynum's up next.

Zach's a good player, but Al is better. The difference in TOs, FG%, and blocks are huge. (I'm going by last year for blocks since this year is a small sample.)

I forgot to add Al will learn a few more tricks from Mchale while playing there which should continue to give him advantage.

Yea, Al is better for a few reasons:

1. he's younger

2. he's bigger

3. better defender

4. more effecient scorer

But what about George Jefferson? How does Zach compare with him?
https:// It's not so hard.

But it only takes Curry to bowl over Jefferson and outscore him in a losing effort for ppl to proclaim him to be superior. Jefferson may outrebound, swat more shots, anchor his defense way better than Curry but if he get outscored he'll just be another example of "how far" Curry has come.
