this team has an effort problem. This isnt about chemistry or any of the other excuses that get posted here. Eddy's 3 rebounds, the turnovers, the turnstile defense... this team does not play hard enough to make the playoffs in this league.

3 rebounds... the more things change the more they stay the same. We should have kept Tim Thomas

How does a 6'11" guy playing *center*--playing the one position where the ball is most likely to come--get only 3 rbs in 36 min? Eddy's the same player he was last year and the same player he was in his Chicago contract year.

And our two highest energy guys get only 23 and 14 mpg--just so that high priced, lazy veterans can get more mpg.

I don't think there is anyone who knows how to defend a pick and roll or screen. and I think the goes to the coaching staff as well.

balkman just has superior skills/athletic ability.

I would start Lee and Balkman. For Marbury and Zaches double digit contracts, the team still runs through JC because they are flawed "superstars". I would get rid of them in a heartbeat.

Jamal Crawford is just a AND 1 flashy player with no understanding of the game of basketball and still very inconsistent.

Curry still plays like he's in highschool (no motivation) no incentives.

This team has the same guys and they play the same way CONSISTENTLY INCONSISTENT.

Stop getting too hyped, it's time to beg for wins, it's the same team as last yr.

There was 1 pick and roll that the Magic telecast focused on where Curry stayed to help Starbury on the perimeter while Howard went to the basket for an eventual dunk. Starbury looked over his shoulder and saw Curry there and was like "What are you doing?", then pointed him to go find Howard. Starbury's man was just dribbling outside the 3 pt line at the time, not really looking to get past Starbury so there was no reason for Curry to stay there.

After 7 years in the NBA, does Curry still not know about pick and rolls and defensive basics? Curry can get 18pts every game but when he's such a liability on defense and on the boards, whatever he scores will never compensate for what he gives up.

The game plan on defense sucks. Either that or our players are flat out retarded.

There should have been a sign posted in the locker room saying "don't worry about the drive! Cuz these mofos won't!.....except for jameer nelson of course".....also......"don't double team howard period!".
I did like the fact that they tried to actually post guys up on both sides and swang the ball perfectly with nice execution. Its just they aren't crisp with it every time.

That's it in a nutshell.....these knicks are just not bringing it as a team every posession. That freakin sucks.

I think Crawford's game is maturing. The palming calls killed him. It threw him off his game and created 3 untimely turnovers. But overall, he is making fewer bad passes and taking fewer bad shots. Hopefully, yesterday was an aberration and he will get back to the progress he was making.

Watching Jameer Nelson convert six identical uncontested layups was mind boggling. Watching the defending guard (primarily Marbury) get hopelessly torched and seemingly disinterested when it occurred not barking out for help and making no attempt to follow Nelson instead just stopping was inexcusable. Watching our big men just turn around in time to get a good view of Nelson's layup line was mind numbing.

Either they really don't care to put forth the effort or they are too stupid to recognize duplicate plays and understand how to adjust or expect the next one.

That was the worst of it all right there. The other lapses by the team weren't as bad as we are just not a good defensive unit so it was expected. I did expect the layups but not six consecutive identical results. Put the kid on the floor. Make him give it up at the very least instead of just WATCHING THE SAME PLAY unfold time and again.

Is LB STILL COACHING THE KNICKS....the weak effort is still there.

Maybe it's the players and they need to go. Didn't LB HOF coach say that awhile ago ?

LB said a lot of things. Things that were 100% correct.
