Ok- I'm posting this for a few of the guys who are interested in seeing a show-
I'm playing with a new band called Whoopie Pie, Saturday night at the Stone NYC- It's at 10pm, Ave C and 2nd St, $10 cover It's the band's NYC debut- Saxophone (yours truly), E-bass and Drums trio- More blues/rock mix than the straight-ahead jazz I normally do. Anyway- you can check it out here- http://www.myspace.com/whoopiepie And- I'm also playing with a great Trumpeter, John McNeil (He played w Horace Silver and many other jazz greats) this and every Sunday at Biscuit BBQ in Brooklyn, which is on 5th Ave and President St. We play there every Sunday from 8:30pm to 11pm. If you're a Brooklyn local, come for the 2nd set after the Knicks/Heat game. $10 cover (only $5 for musicians/students) That sounds like this- Anyway- thanks for the support guys- I'll be warming up playing long tones tonight at home watching the Magic game. If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.
