I mean finally, the 1st time in 3 years that we have our own pick, with the perfect opportunity to get a top 3 pick by just sucking super ass (which we're good at), and boom the Knicks have to ruin it by winning a few games.

We need to start focusing on our damn farm system........and I don't mean late 1st round picks.

There's a reason guys like Zach Randolph and Stephon Marbury are traded to suckers like Isiah.

Franchise players are traded once every few years. It doesn't happen often. And we're NEVER gonna have the pieces to get one anyway (we didn't get KG, and we're not getting Kobe).

We need get rid of all the bad contracts 1 by 1, like Portland, and start concentrating on losing games. (which is an oxymoron b/c it really doesn't take much concentration)

We're stuck in mediocrity.

bobs3304, this team needs to win games. We need to up the trade value of our players if you really want to bring in a superstar. You actually think tanking and hoping we can luck into a top player in the draft is the way to go The best startegy is to try to win as many games as possible and make our players look as good as possible. The trade value of Randolph and Crawford is increaing everyday. I mean Crawford is scoring 24 points per game on 50% shooting and getting like 6 assists a game. Those are allstar numbers baby. Randolph is doing the 20/10 thing. Even Curry is playing more inspired ball and fighting for rebounds and playing better defense. If the Knicks continue to play like this and a superstar becomes available, we will now be in the running to get him because we now are showing the league that our players have talent and can play at a higher level. And lastly, dude these are the Knicks. How can you ever hope that they lose. Just sad.

That didn't really work out for them. They were trying to get a top 2 pick and ended up with an inferior pick they had to cash in for Ray Allen and his 2-3 yr window instead of Durant or Oden for 15 years.

I know RayRay helped them get Garnett but thats besides the point about tanking games.

Why tank?

IT will get a good pick wherever he picks. Lee, Balkman, Collins, and you will see Chandler are the future of this team, all picked in the late first round. Are any of the players the Bulls got much better? Thomas? Noah? the jury is out there for sure.

With guys like you it seems like you need a reason to complain about something.

The truth is that the team is better. Am I happy about all the deals IT has made? No, but you cannot argue that the talent is worse or old. It simply is not. THe truth is that they have a plan and it is working. I think that I actually understand it now.

I understand you frustration.
I am also not happy about IT and his system. And I believe it will not work at the end of the day but hey... you never know.
May be he is a genius and we will do better with every game.
Seriously it is a long season and I will not rush with any conclusions after 3 games. We’ll see after 20.
Almost all players we have are Dark Horses and even if in general we are poised to lose we can score a big pot too.

We'd have been better off tanking a couple years ago. The next opportunity to tank would be 2009/2010 as Marbury will come off the books and Curry and Craw will likely opt out. No reason not to try to be competetive this year.

Balkman is the nuts and bolts of this team. Lee is Mr Blue Collar of the team. Lee is the work horse.
but this starting lineup is getting better. Marbs understands even though its hard for him but this is not his team. Its not Curry's or Crawford, or Zach's team. This team will be Lee's , Balkmans, and N8 team for the future. The rest of the guys may be here but these 3 guys will keep us in a game. With out them we are in trouble.
