I think he is a little out of shape. He usually works out a lot in the off season. This year, he was coming of back surgery, so he wasn't able to do his usual regimen.

Its a shame cuz this dude is the missing piece. The way he came out last year is the Q the knicks need this year. I don't think we will see that Q this year. Maybe never.

I hope he can play his way back into shape and get his shot back. If we can get him to hit 3s at a decent percentage and add a few postups, it will go along way to giving our starting unit alot of pop. I like Balkman coming off the bench because he energizes the second unit, but we need Q to play better. If our starters can play other team's starters even, our second unit is going to beat most other second units in the league.

He also looks a little too short and too slow to guard the bigger threes.

I love QRich and what he has shown as a Knick, but it might be like any above average or better NBA player in the past...the bottom just falls off and father time and injuries is getting the better of him.

If Isiah decides to move Q down to 9th man, who do you replace him with? I hope to god it's not JJ2 and Zeke thinks outside the box and put the Mayor in the mix. 20 min a game would accelerate his game. Also, move the Balkster in the starting lineup.

I think you start Balk and give WC 12-15 mins a night off the bench to get his feet wet. You can play Lee some at the 3 too since Curry and Zach have been effective in tandem. Every once in a while you give teams the "big" look...get Balk or Chandler in there at SG too.

Q can work his way back in when he's fully healthy. He bent down to pick up a loose ball today and couldn't get halfway down. I think its clear his back is still bothering him. When he was healthy last year he would mix it up inside and play like a PF. He hasn't done that at all this year.

I agree. QRich just looks broken down. He needs rest.

I think it's going to take QRich up to two months to get his mobility and flexibility back. In the meantime I think you limit his game minutes when he's off and let him practice harder to get into better shape.

He started last night terrific and then turned into one big steaming pile of crap.

He's simply not enough of an athlete to be in the rotation. He is the Clarence Wetherspoon of SFs. Too old, short, fat & unathletic to contribute effectively.
