Would you do it:
"Q", Jefferies, and the 2008 1st round pick for Ron Artest?

Don't forget Crazy Ron-Ron is grossly underpaid so we would have to take back a bad contract along with him.

And with the Kings about to blow it all up, I don't think they'd want Q's or Jeffries' contracts.

I believe Ron Ron is going to be a free agent within a year and he wants to play in NY...
the Kings may have to settle for a package of Q, Jefferies, (maybe Morris) and a 2008 first round pick.

Nate + Malik Rose for Artest and what it takes to make the $$ work.

Sacramento gets a young exciting player and a salary dump.

We lose some long range shooting but Artest is a more consistent scorer, a better passser, can handle the ball , and plays the best perimeter D in the game, but excellent interior D. We also gain rebounding.

Collins slides in as backup to Marbury and we gain more D from Robinsons spot, a better passer, better rebounder, and the best-trained post feeder on the team. And he will knock you down if you showboat, just like coach Don Chaney taught him.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I think Nate is going to have a nice year and he has learned to apply himself on D and be an effective assist man and rebounder; I would not trade him before his stock goes higher...

it's not gonna be for Q. it's gonna have to be for Lee if Artest comes. I'm still iffy on that front.

Artest is a chemistry time bomb. The team actually seems to have a little chemistry right now. We could be 3-0 if Renaldo was healthy enough to play more against Cleveland.

I'd say no to Artest. You have to remember, too, that Isiah has had run-ins with Artest before and suspended him in the playoffs and regular season in Indy as head coach. I'm not sure he's an Artest fan.

that trade doesn't work under the CBA
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

IF we could get Artest without losing a core player, I would go for it. But I like this team. Balkman is a beast and CHandler is waiting in the wings to be our next contributor at SF. Both will be making rookie money for at least 2 more years. Artest is a loose cannon. I would not give up a core player for him. If we can get him for Q and Chandler and maybe a protected 1st round pick, then I might do it, but even then I would be hesitant.

i wouldn't give up a possible lottery pick for Artest, hell no.

Nate, Malik & a 2nd rounder is the most i'd pay... otherwise, SAC can keep him & he'll just end up signing w.the Knicks when he turns a FA anyway in all likelihood.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I think we have enough love in the Knick Truck without bringing in Artest.

I don't want any piece of Artest.

He's not a franchise player, and he's a distraction.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
