Great job pulling out a close win at home against what is supposed to be a good team, but is really nothing but an overrated bunch of starphuckers that aren't nearly as good as the sum of their parts. This team is really showing me something by playing hard and proving all the doubters wrong.

I'm really proud of my Islanders tonight.

As for the Knicks. The sun shines on even a dogs ass every now and then. Instead of going 4-11 this month, they might go 5-10. Big whoops.

^ You'll look wise if they keep their usual trend up.

You'll look like a jackass if you're wrong.

That's a pretty big risk you're takin there bub.

I'll take a wait-and-see approach.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Absolutely agree.
Islenders were great. They always have Rangers number in regular season.
Especiallyon back-to-back nights... (no exuses)
But we will see who will be around in play-offs.

Knicks played the best game for a long time.
Defense was better thanks to Balk.
It is more and more intriguing every day...

That was a great fourth quarter comeback and a great team win, sparked by Balkman - the controversial draft pick by Islesfan's favorite gm.

All I can say is I plan on watching the next Knicks game. Considering I went on record saying something like "I'd rather stare at a wall than spend money to watch a the Knicks at the sports bar" earlier TODAY, the team exceeded my expectations for miles and miles.

I don't know... this season has the "Us Against the World" feel written all over it and apparently everyone can get there stats in Isiah's "system."

Coming into the year I thought 35 wins, now I'm thinking 41-43 and a possible second round appearance. I know the season is young, but one cannot help but be impressed with this team so far.

I really hate a lot of the individual components on this team, but the TEAM looks good. When you get down to it, the Knicks have a decent starters at the 1, 2, 4, 5 and a above average bench. The only weakness is at SF, and including Balkman for Artest becomes increasingly appealing--just so long as it doesn't effect the other starters or destroy the bench.

I never thought I would EVER defend THIS team... but they are beginning to win me over.

I hear you man. I'm all about the occasional jokes here and there but isles has been beating up on the Knicks way too much to even count as a Knicks fan.

There was no reason for this isles. Atleast have something to argue about in your posts where you bash the Knicks.

I was not happy to see Marbury try to go head to head with AI down the stretch, but its better to see him still have some testosterone than be a total puss!

The play where Zach passed to a cutting Balky who then fed Eddy was the play of the game for me.

BALL MOVEMENT! I'd like to see Zach take less shots on a regular basis and see this kind of game on a regular basis.

The game was Eddy had a great 4th! 5 rebs and blocked Camby!

It's crazy. Do we have a realistic chance? That's all I want... and maybe...

There are a lot of positives man. We have the talent and it looks decent on paper so now they have to play the games. MAKE THEM COUNT!!

I'm not thoroughly convinced but I like what I see. I mean we've played crap defense for 2 and a half games so far this year(the half that was good was tonight) I really wanna see the defense improve and then I'll believe we got a realistic shot at doing something. Like I said though, I think the team is moving in the right direction and I haven't felt that way for a while.

Precisely. Now that I just fellated the Knicks organization, I would like to point out the one glaring defficiency from tonight's game: the team's AST:TO. 22:18 is not going to get it done versus an elite team. The Nugget are not an elite team, but they had 20:12. Despite having nine more rebounds, the team only had five more shots.

Doesn't seem like a big deal, but when Detroit comes to town and has a 30:10, the Knicks are going to get out shot despite out rebounding the opposition. This is bothersome and is our Achilles. Keep an eye on this, because every single year during Isiah's tenure this team has done horribly in AST:TO, while the opposition's AST:TO is typically quite high.
