Ben Wallace is averaging 4.3pts, 3.7rebs, & 1.7blks in 29mins for the last 3 games.

He was played 37mins last game and had only 5 rebs. Had only 2rebs in 27mins the first game.

Is he done?

Bulls might get desperate if he is really declining this fast and he is still owed around 45mil over the next 3yrs.

More matter-of-factly than maliciously, Bulls coach Scott Skiles hinted at reducing Ben Wallace's playing time further as the veteran center continues to be bothered by a sore left ankle.

"If he's injured and can't get it done out there, we have to get somebody in there who can," Skiles said after Monday's two-hour practice at the Berto Center.

Expect rookie Joakim Noah to take some of Wallace's minutes if the veteran's jumping ability continues to be hampered. Wallace, who is averaging only 3.7 rebounds in 30 minutes per game, admitted as much Saturday night in Milwaukee.

To illustrate Wallace's ineffectiveness, Ben Gordon has 20 defensive rebounds to Wallace's three in the Bulls' 0-3 start.

"If he's not injured at all, he never gets treatment, and he's still getting treatment," Skiles said of Wallace. "He came in (Sunday, a day off) for treatment. "There have been times he's been injured and not gotten treatment because he knows he can play through it. So it's obviously still bothering him."

We def. have our own problems to worry about.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

If he was injured with a bad ankle. Why did they play him 37mins last game?

I was thinking injury to when I saw it. But the average of 29mins, and 37mins last game threw me off. Plus Noah hasn't gotten any burn at all.

They still screwed up by signing Ben Wallace & trading Tyson Chandler.

I think it is mental also.
He was the man in Detroit.
Now he is just another guy.
He earned his money and I wish him luck to enjoy them.

if he's really declining that fast, why would we want him? (unless that wasn't what u were implying... the last sentence sorta implies it tho)

Chicago would be smart to sit him and let him heal if he's not effective. I don't think he's declining that fast, but with a contract like that and with declining skills, we'll pass should Chicago want to dump him.

I would only want Ben Wallace if Jakeem Noah or Ty Thomas or both were attached to him. But no It wasn't what I was implying, I was just shocked by his production especially in the rebounding category. And the fact that if Ben Wallace wsa declining that fast how much it would set Chi back. Unless of course Noah steps up big or something.

Why is JO averaging only 11 and 7 after two games? Is it just a small sample or is he playing injured?

o, ok sorry for the misread... to think the Bulls were trying to pawn him off to the Lakers for their franchise star too... that's 1 contract the Bulls were dumb to give out from the very beginning to a guy w/as 1 dimensional a game as Ben Wallace... after he loses his ability to jump, he's going to be completely useless.

Joe Dumars is one of the most intelligent GMs in the NBA. Its sad Isiah hasn't learned a thing. His decision to not overpay for Ben is looking more and more shrewd.
