for Delonte West?
I\'ve always liked this guy--he\'s a smart basketball player who has been set back by injuries and inconsistent minutes. He has great fundamentals--he\'s a 6-4 PG good defense and he\'s proven he can play very very well in the NBA. I don\'t trust Marbury to play the whole season and he clearly is already in significant decline--nate is a good player BUT NOT a starter in the nBA[perfect for 18-22 off the bench as a 6 or 7. I dont know what is going on with Mardy but he cant shoot as of now. I think we could use another guard and not one from the draft--I dont mind giving up a lottery protected piock + fred jones and money to offset the contracts for West and I think Seattle will do it

Can't micromanage a debacle like this...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

We can't trade Fred Jones. He's integral to the Knicks future success.

How about we trade him for a young tall 3pt shooter... oh wait we already threw one of those away for Fred Jones.

what's funny is that PHO has already called Zeke/Glen to see if they want them back for $3M each.

His first year when healthy he shot nearly 50% from the field 12-4-4- with good defense @ 6-4. He\'s a young smart player who will improve as well--we dont need the draft pick Seattle does and they have 3 PG\'s 2 of which are under big contracts. We have 0 use for Fred Jones.

Tim Duncan is an "awesome" player.

I wouldn't exactly say Delonte instills "awe" in me...

Ok awesome was too strong a word I guess. Is it ok to say he is an effective basketball player? He's smart and steady on both ends of the floor. He's good.

I wouldn't even call him good yet.

He's a 3rd year player whose done nothing special in the league yet.

Not trying to be a word nazi, I'd call him "pretty good".

His second year in the league he played almost every game and went 12-4-4 and shot nearly 50% and was 2.5-1 To ratio with good defense. He\'s 6-4 and 24. He played hurt all of last year and still put up respectable numbers. You cant go out and trade for the best PG in the league. You have to spot players whoose value may not be at the level where it could/should be and see if you can pounce when it makes sense. Right now Marbury is showing serious signs of a drop off+ he is an injury waiting to happen. I like Mardy Collins but he still has some bonafides to show--West has ALREADY proven over time and many ballgames that he can play and should get BETTER--especially playing with a good frontline. We dont need a 15+ draft pick and we dont need Fred Jones. It is a good enough draft picker that he can get who he wants[if anyone??? I dont know if we should get younger right now?? in the 2nd round] Take out Marbury[which is inevitable?] and we have JC[6-5] West[6-4] Collins[6-6] and Nate We can start West with JC and immediately improve perimeter D and length on the team.

Delonte West is a nice player. I'd love to have him for the post Marbury era. He's smart, can shoot the ball and he's a pest on D.

Isiah never drafted him...
Why would he be interested?

Could you imagine if Nichols is a player and starts to play really well for Cleveland. Isiah will force feed us Fred Jones on every play. I'm guessing he will score 30-40 points a game on 15-82 shooting, as Isiah tries to justify his contract.
I just hope that people will like me
