Who honestly cares?

I mean I know some guys will.

But Nate Robinson is Nate Robinson.

He's not Tim Duncan. He's not not even David Lee.

His 3Pt shooting is the equivalent of Balkman's defense - EXPENDABLE.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I would think Knick fans would care. I mean, last time I checked, Tim Duncan wasn't on the Knicks and David Lee (while contributing in many ways) wasn't an effective & exciting 3rd guard on the Knicks. Also, you may not have noticed, but defense is a fairly necessary component of the game of basketball, as is rebounding...both of which Balkman shows every sign of providing, in a big way.

I may be mistaken on this, but I thought this was a Knick site...not a site that attracts pessimistic, hater pricks who look like their well on their way to becoming Celtic fans.

I'm not whining dingbat.

I'm the voice of reason.

Nate in all actuality is just a flick on the radar...

Head in the sand

3304bobs - if New Nate is a flick on the radar then you must insist on not watching the game as it it played.

bobs3304- If you really dont care about whether or not our first guard off the bench may or may not be injured then why are you wasting your time responding to the thread? I doubt anybody is interested in hearing your voice of reason.

As far as Nate goes, I was under the impression that he was cleared to come back in the game, so im pretty sure he just tweaked it. Hell be ready to throw down with Carmelo in a couple days, no worries.

Ok, I probly embellished it a bit.

He's important, but it's not like we suffer depth problems, or we're strapped of score-1st guards or anything.

I'll bump him up to big blip on the radar. Still a blip tho.

Most fans of any team care when a player in the rotation may be injured.

bobs - with sophomore Mardy Collins still in recovery mode I would beg to differ. I sat next to Fred Jones. Fred Jones sir, is no Nate Robinson.

New Nate has been a critical component in protecting the ball, rebounding, running the offense and changing the tempo for the better with The Get Fresh Crew.

^ Yea but again you're looking at the trees not the forest.

Nate Robinson is to us as Mike James is to Houston.

A guy good for 12-13 points off the bench. Too turnover prone to be a starter, too small to be a SG, too erratic to be a PG.

I'll agree he's pressed well, but his halfcourt defense SUCKS, his rebounding is OK nothing great like Jason Kidd or anything.

And "changing the tempo" I'd agree with, but that's his job coming off the bench.

Lee does that. So does Renaldo.

If Houston lost Mike James it would hurt, but nowhere near what losing TMac or Yao would...

So, in other words, you're saying that losing guys who are not typically on the all-star team is a topic not worth mentioning on the team's fan site?

No not really. You can say w/e you want, as can I.

I'm saying that losing BENCH GUYS isn't THAT important to me. We have bigger fish to fry, ie: getting better STARTERS...

Nate is The Great...
Without him this will be much more boring.
We already lost Jerome. Nate MUST be fine.

Nate and his hammy have little to do with whether we land better starters.
