2 games in, and Craw has 8 fta per game. Compared to career averages of ~4, it seems to me he's been told to put it on the floor by the coaching staff.

Anyone else noticing that the Knicks are either dumping it in to the big guys or driving themslves. The 3 seems to be the last resort after a play is broken. Whats interesting is that should help our abysmal TO average from last year. And we should lead the league in FTA (again?)

My only concern is that its a little bit of Plan A, B, C. When our guys are missing inside or cant find route to the hoop, we dont really have anything up our sleeves. Q doesnt drive, so technially he should be the dagger from deep. But right now Q couldnt hit the side of a barn with a shotgun. Is it time for Wally?

I'm very happy to see that...He still holds the ball too long...too many dribbles....at least one ill advised three tonight but it was one..so improvement I guess.....

I would love to see Marbs and Zack resurrect the pick and roll...That would be a great addition to this offense....

I hope he keeps it up. Craw and Nate are the ones that are showing improvement over last season. They're playing smarter and need to keep doing it.

Craw can pick up the pace and open the offense up a little. We just seemed a little more free flowing when he and Nate were running the show.

And we saw some really nice flashes of how Eddy can be effective scoring the ball without being the focal point in the post and slowing down the pace of the game. He can finish as well as anyone when guys like Craw and Nate break down the D. And Craw can throw that alleyoop for easy basekts...

this might be a first for Craw - after two games he's shooting 50% from the field.

but, yeah, I think Craw has to be the leader with this group. in many ways, it was illustrated how much he was last season when he went down. if he can play at a consistent level, and getting to the FT line will help him score a lot more consistently, the Knicks will be much better.

if Craw can play at or near this level and Zach can maintain a consistent level in the post and at the line, the team will be much better off.

No one has said it more than me, that Craw is the key to this team being successsful. He looked pretty sharp tonight, and his points looked effortless. He looks really confident going to the whole after blowing past defenders, and this opens up a world of options for us. That weight he put on has helped his confidence alot.

He has always been inconsistent because he always relied on jumpshots and when they didn't fall he had nothing else. Now that he is taking it to the rim, even when his jumpers dont fall he's scoring and creating. Plus those FTs help you to recalibrate your shot. This could be the makings of an elite scorer in the league, if he can stay close to what he is doing now. Lets stay tuned.

I'm with you. Crawford has never put together a full season in his career. But he looks good so far.

Have you all noticed that Crawford rarely uses the backboard when he drives? I find it very interesting. He's really good at those floaters, but I wonder if he starts using the glass a little bit more he might not have so many shots rattle out.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

You know what, i think i've seen him use the backboard far more for his ridiculously long 3s than for anything else.

I said it before that people were sleeping on this guy's skills. When he is driving and taking smart shots, the guy is an elite scorer. Hopefully, he will completely eliminate the crossover pull up 3 from his game and he should be able to be a 48%-49% shooter, which is very solid for a SG.

Crawford is going to kill us this yr, we played a young timberwolves team who didn't know how to defend jamal.

Crawfords style of play eliminates team oriented play, we should have blown out the timberwolves at home.

When we go up against real good veteran teams playing one on one is gonna put us right where we were last yr with scoring droughts because of 4 guys watching 1.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

i think Craw is terrific....especially when he is driving, especially when he gets steals, especially when he feeds the post (something nobody else on the team is capable of), especially on his alley-oops to Curry....he gets a bad rap on this board

on another note, I think playing Balkman over the athletically challenged Q Rich covers a lot of deficiencies of this team

I'm wondering if we should experiment putting Jamal at the 1 and Steph at the 2 and play more off the ball. He seems to play the most under control when he's actually running the offense, IMO.

That's a very interesting idea. It might just work.

Are you guys watching the games, Jamal has always been a deadly scorer, but he is alone out there when he plays because he scores one on one and not in the flow of the offense. He couldn't guard McCants, he couldn't guard Daniel Gibson, he can't guard anyone, for the handful of games he does play smart he is still not playing his man.

He has shot well so far, but not ready to get excited till he puts together something substantial

Craw actually guarded McCants very well (note his 2 steals). And the only time Gibson scored is when they collapsed down on LeBron. Gibson is basically a BJ Armstrong type (he spots up & feeds off of a superstar getting double teamed).

i dont agree with you on that. it is steph's ball movement that has taken a back seat from the 2 games we saw this year. craw drives to the post and makes the runner most of the time. when the defense collapses..........easy 2 for curry. easy 2 for zbo. isnt that what we should be doing? craw's passing skills have become much better. now only if his defense was much improved, steph would be eliminated from the starting lineup for good.

I have been saying this for the longest if you start Jamal from the beginning you will see a difference. He is playing confident and taking it strong to the hole. He also is playing more of the pg role.

I wonder if you guys still think that Q should start over Jamal at the 2 guard position?
