I think they should put their sights on Maciej Lampe. He could fall depending on the direction teams like the Clippers, Bulls and the Bucks go in.

The Bucks need an inside presence so they could just take Sweetney or Kaman if he falls.

The Clippers are need to get TJ Ford. They Marko Jaric to play the point but he can't do what Ford can....besides they would be a better team if Both of those guys could be in the backcourt.

The Bulls are the big question mark because they could be the team to take Maciej Lampe from the Knicks. What else do the Bulls need to improve? They needed time to mature but I think that time has come. It would be a blessing if the Knicks could get the Bulls #7 pick some how....maybe for a future consideration. I can't see a position the Bulls would need help in unless they want to reach with Jarvis Hayes to help the 2 guard spot, but they already have Roger mason from last year.

Kaman and Lampe will be gone by the time NYK picks. those guys are slated to go back to back 5 and 6. It seem the Clips will take one of those player to replace Olo. Miami will take one to replace Mourning. Bosh will go to the raptors at 4. So the Knicks are pretty much looking to trade the pick because they can't address a need. I think it is apparent they will trade the pick because they are not working players out currently.

I dunno if the Clippers take Lampe to replace Kandi. Lampe is supposed to be a Dirk type, not a Pau Gasol. They have Wang, Wilcox, Eli, Parks and Rooks....that's a solid platoon. They don't really need another big guy especially if they re-sign Brand. Andre Miller was a bust in my opinion. I think they should let him walk and get TJ Ford.

Miami if anything is gonna snatch Kaman.

If you wanna talk real dream bursters it's the Bulls and the Bucks. The Bucks by any means will take the best big man available and that's Sweetney. The Bulls can take a chance on a project...and that's Lampe if anything.

What does that leave the Knicks? Baby Shaq? Ah man....what the Knick fans will do to him at the Garden if he's a bust...."Baby Hughey"...."Gyro Boy"...."Falafel Face"....

Well to put a spin on the Bulls pick...NBA.com did an interview with Paxson. Here's what he said:
Paxson:
“I don’t think it’s any secret that we could use a good wing defender and someone who can shoot the ball from long distance. We feel that with our young big guys inside, we will have a presence there that is going to be difficult to guard. So we need people that can space the floor and shoot from deep. Obviously, we also need to address our defensive deficiencies from last year. Perimeter defense is very important and that is an area we need to get better at.”

Take Sprewell then!!!! Spree is a good perimeter defender and he's a good 3pt shooter and he has leadership qualities.

But....yeah there is a but....
Paxson went on to talk about Dwayne Wade and how good he was.

I have that same bad feeling. Maybe it is true that there won't be anyone at #9 who can help the Knicks, but it is still depressing that the Knicks refuse to take any chances on young players.

I like the Greek Baby Shaq or the Brazillian kid. If not one of them, I would take Hinrich or Collison. Hinrich reminds me of Stockton. Collison is tough and will not back down. As for baby Shaq and the Brazillian kid, I like their size and the fact that they are 18 years old. They will grow more as they mature and they are athletic.

Last year I was for Hilario. I was so happy NY took him and then the trade happened.

At last years draft, a friend of mine and I were absolutely shocked when we heard the Knicks drafted Hilario... of course reality set in moments later when they revealed it was actually Kiki's selection.

Karnivore, I did not mention Lampe because he will not be around. The guy I really would want would be Anthony. The boy has serious game and attitude. He is not the normal 'Cuse player. My 2nd pick would be Mlicic, then Lebron, Lampe. After that, see my prior post.
