I know I'm not the only one that feels strongly about this; but after watching Eddy in the preseason, it's very clear he is part of the problem and not the solution. The three biggest deturants this season in the knicks quest to make noise are Isiah, Crawford and Curry.

Curry has been picking up offensive fouls at an alarming rate, hasn't rebounded at all, suprise suprise is way out of shape and doesn't play any defense. Randolf may not play defense but at least he rebounds and is efficient. It's time Isiah wakes up and realize that 25 minutes is the max for Curry. Lee is going to put up better team numbers get more people involved and play more defense.

Isiah has always missed the boat on starting the right players, but wake up Nate Robinson over Crawford. Nate is a better defender and already shoots a much high percentage than jamal while being a foot shorter. The knicks season preview said it all, Jamal is talking about his tatatoos in the offseason, tremendous lack of focus year after year from this kid, who will never improve.

In order for Marbury to be effective he can't be on the floor with Crawford, Curry and Zach i don't know why this is so hard for isiah to understand. Anytime the Knicks were in a game in the preseason Eddy Curry was on the bench, along with Crawford. The teams offense flows much better, and we actually look like a team, playing to our strengths which is uptempo ball. Mardy Collins needs minutes, as does balkman, Q, and other two way talent

Marbury/Collins
Q/Nate
Balkman/Chandler
Randolf/Jefferies
Lee/Curry

The team would be much better off, with Jamal out of the rotation, if you wanna give him a few minutes to see if he can score the ball fine, but we are not getting blown out when their are defenders out there, and Nate and Steph can attack the rim and look for Lee and Balkman to finish. David Lee plays 38 minutes a night, period, great things happen when he is out there with renaldo (Who our dumb ****ing coach stated last year, "everytime he is out there he changes the flow of the game, and usually gets a double double", but yet jefferies started the entire time over him)

Isiah needs to wake up, before the season ends.

Isiah, Curry, and Steph are more detrimental to the team. Yea Crawford kills us basketball wise, but these 3 goons have off the court issues, as well as the fact that they suck. Curry's off court issue is his inability and desire to shed pounds.

Start lee over EC and we will lose every game. Who is Lee gonna guard and besides garbage points, how is he gonna score?

Career Averages

David Lee 7.7pts 7.2rbs 1.2ass 1.14 tos 0.3blks 22mins
Eddy Curry 13.5pts 5.5rbs 0.6ass 2.31 tos 0.8blks 26mins

Those are role playing numbers for eddy, and very similiar to what he would do if he wasn't force fed every single time out.

How is he going to score? The same way he scores all the time. We will lose every game are you on drugs, what does eddy bring on defense nothing.

Who is lee guarding that is going to be a terrible matchup, outside of Yao, you put zach on howard, there isn't a lot of great talent at the center position. The sheere fact you believe we are in a better position starting zach and eddy is disgraceful those two don't ever rotate don't ever pass and kill any offense

We'll see +/- for eddy and lee in 10 games and this will clear the picture...

You see, this is part of the problem. I kow the opportunity to heckle Isiah is too great, but this is THE problem. Isiah at this point is entrenched management. You hear about this ALL THE TIME in the Wall Street Journal. He has everything to lose from the inevitable and everything to gain by a miraculous turnaround. His career essentially hinges on Eddy Curry.

David Lee + Zach Randolph is what is best for the Knicks. They are the two best players on this team. Anyone with half a brain sees this. Getting them both on the court for 35-40 minutes a game is this team's best chance for success. But--entrenched management--pushes another agenda, his own. Eddy Curry's success is what is best for Isiah Thomas, not what is best for the Knicks.

And so it begins...Start Lee over the Knicks' most dominant player the past year...I guess it doesn't matter that Eddy and Zack could be the best center, power forward combo in the league if Curry does what he did last year....Why let that happen...

Yup. This was evident the day day we made the trade. We go as Curry goes. IF he is mediocre, we will be mediocre. If he is great, we will be great. That's Isiah's only hope.

Where things get interesting is Isiah Thoams has brought in solid young talent. I don't want to make it sound like we have the next Celtics/Lakers/Bulls/Spurs dynasty riding pine right now, but there are pieces here. And, yes, the PIECES are greater than the WHOLE. If the Knicks could trade Curry for Artest (As others have advocated), would you do it? My answer: Hell yes!!! The Knicks need a perimetere player and they have two very good bigs in the era of the PF/C. Would Isiah ever make that trade? Hell no.

I agree...our team makes a lot more sense without Eddy...it plays to Zach and Marbs' strength more and gets Lee and Balk more minutes.

Curry and Zach the best combo in the league, thats the joke of the century. They looked real good against the Nets

I'll take

David West + Tyson Chandler
Amare + Marion
Camby + Kmart
Raptors
actually I will take just about every other teams combo in the entire.....

Factor in turnovers, assist, blks, stls and they are the least efficient tandem in NBA history

I don't want to make it sound like I'm a move or two to fix this team... there is nothing that could be done to get the team to win a championship. I'm advocated firing Isiah because everything he does has his own best interests at heart, rather than the interests of the franchise.

Cosign. Lee and Balkman are the "glue" guys that will actually make this mess work. You sit Curry and limit him to 25-30 minuts and make sure that Lee is the one that is always playing with Zach or Curry and the frontcourt will be more productive. You give Balkman at least 25 minutes and our team defense will improve. Don't play Jeffries at all and tell Crawford that he needs to stop the crossover pullup j's and you will see our FG percentage go up. Tell Marbury to lay like his has a head on his shoulder and start taking over games in spurts and our offense will become more consistent. The players are here. The discussion of entrenched management is a fact. IT has to justify the Curry trade and the Jeffries signing that he has to play these guys even though it is clear they don't deserve the minutes they get. IT winning cures all. Sit Jeffries and limit Curry and watch the wins pile up and we will forget how we gave up 2 lottery picks for this guy. I really don't care because in Balkman and Chandler, I think IT found lottery level talent outside of the lottery, so IMO it really is a wash. What matters now is putting the best players on the court who can work together as a unit.

Eddy Curry and Nate Robinson for Al Horford and Josh Childress would be a great start to put things in the right direction. Laugh at that if you want, but its a perfect trade.

Hate to give up Nate but Horford is going to be a much better player than eddy and is already a better defender and rebounder and comes from winner pedigree and knows how to play.

Marbury/Collins
Q/Chandler
Balkman/Jefferies
Zach/Lee
Horford/Morris

Then the team starts to actually look like a team, target someone like lowry but using childress and or chandler as bait, the team needs to be blown up fast.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I said this during the play offs- after Dallas got eliminated- that you might get Dallas and Cuban to bite on a Curry for Josh Howard type deal- I think the money is similar & curry's deficiencies (lack of boarding, poor passing) would be compensated for by other players.

I didn't get to watch all of the game- but Zach can actually get steals?!?!

Heck- I'd take Odom or Marion for Curry.
