Watching Seattle, I think you can tell Kevin Durant would do best in a halfcourt set.

I just get the feeling he'll end up needing a dominant scoring big man down in the post.

Wilcox is a role player like Nene, not a star.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Seattle supposedly have interest in Zach when Portland was fiedling offers?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I would rather have Ridnour + Wilcox.

I think Durant is comfortable in both halfcourt and fastbreak. He just needs to calm down a little bit, and stop forcing things. Things will come for him, and he's playing hard. Wilcox is turning into a baller and I've always liked Delonte West. Wilkins is someone we could use.

Wilcox is a very good player. he is just learning the game. I wish curry could learn the game.
I want to leave something that's going to stand for a long timeI want to leave a legacy,I want to leave tradition.I want to leave an imprint,a blueprint in terms of how people play, and how they coach and how they respond when they put on the Knick uni.

^ Wilcox is around the same age as Curry.

I don't think he has the size (he's only around 6-8), or the instinct for scoring (like Z-Bo) to be anything more than a Nene or Drew Gooden...

Im telling you Seattle needs Eddie Curry. It would be a great move for both teams if we could trade Curry & Crawford for Ridnour & Wally. Curry with Wilcox & Collison around him would be a nice fit. Crawford would even fit in with Watson & West. Crawford, Durant, Green, Wilcox, Curry, West, Collison, Watson, Swift would be a very solid 9 man rotation. Plus Crawford is from Seattle.

While Ridnour & Wally would be a very nice fit with us. We would get 2 pretty efficent shooters. Though Wally would only be stop gap.

Sam Presti runs things out in the Emerald city.

He MIGHT take on one of our scorers (ie: Crawford, Curry, Zbo), but certainly not 2.

They're staying close with Denver b/c of their defense...

Are you suggesting a curry/crawford for ridnour/wally trade?? This has got to be the WORST trade I have ever seen. Are you friggin kidding me? That would further destroy this team for years. Are you a closet seattle fan?
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

Curry & Craw are far from perfect, but you want to trade them for a weak, slow PG & an injury riddled SF who is the only guy more un-athletic than our current SF (QRich)??????? Wow. Just wow.

If you want to do a Sea/NY deal involving those 2, how about giving up Craw/Curry/Q/Collins getting back Wilcox, Wilkins, Petro, Watson.

You know if we could somehow steal Kobe & Fisher from LA next summer (and Im just BS'ing here), but:

Curry
Wilcox
Q
Kobe
Fisher

Wilcox is kind of that lunchpail PF we might need next to Curry. Kind of like Nene in that respect...

We'd have a triangle offense set up perfectly from the get-go.

I agree. Wilcox looks like he is going to make a huge leap this year. I think he is going to be a 18 and 10 guy by the end of the season. Since he makes a fraction of what Zach makes, I doubt the Sonics would be interested.

Perhaps.

BUT:

sam presti is bred from the spurs orginization.

i don't think he'll builds a fast-breaking team.

he's too smart for that. he knows they never win in the playoffs. and you need a crafty PG for that, and just look at their personell:

Delonte West, Earl Watson?

(I believe Ridnour's good as gone).

Zach Randolph would give them a primetime post scorer. They don't lose any rebounding, they lost a little toughness and athleticism, but they gain passing, IQ, scoring, etc.

Lemme add this:

We can't get Kobe straight up.

But what better way to do it than involve a 3rd team from the West?

Seattle is a perfect match for us.

A.) We have Nate and Jamal. Seattle natives. Small incentive, but still...

B.) If they end up going slow(er)-ball, which I think they will, Z-Bo is a good fit IMO, and they've already shown interest in him (rumour).

C.) Sam Presti isn't stupid. Any chance to move the 2nd best player in the league out of his division is an opportunity he'll look into.

example:

To LA

David Lee
Wilson Chandler
Wally Sczerbiak
(expires next year)
Luke Ridnour
Fred Jones
(expiring)
2 Unprot. 1st's (via NY)

To NY

Kobe Bryant
Chris Wilcox
Vlad Radmanovic

To SEA

Jamal Crawford
Zach Randolph
