Watching the Rockets game...

Even though you know Yao will get his 25 & 10, his scoring comes within the flow of the offense.

He's still getting a ton of touches though.

When you watch Zach, even in preseason, you can see he wants the ball in his hands.

He works so hard for position (unlike Curry who just bowls over opponents), and all he has to show for it so far is Crawford jacking up a 40 ft. contested shot.

We know Z-Bo can pass the ball. He's averaged 2 APG or more for the past 4 years.

If we featured a Princeton offense like Houston, Zach could have all the touches he wants and still put up his 20 & 10, WHILE helping to facilitate proper ball movement...

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Lemme add:

Per Doug Collins (re: Kobe Bryant needing to be a facilitator)

He talks about how his teammates are so young, and Kobe has trouble trusting the ball in their hands.

Sounds a bit like Zach in Portland...

I think it is going to be hard for zach to establish some kind of flow with isiah force feeding curry. I do have my concerns..

For me I'd feed either the hotter hand or the more polished player. Unless of course the agenda is to justify the Curry as the next Big thing hype.

Ya think? Actually the less Curry touches the ball, the better off we will be. Please inform the nutriders over at realgm that Curry not only kills us on defense, he kills us on offense too. Curry and Randolph need to get the hell out of here.

Agreed about Curry.

But why the hate for Zbo.

He's not half bad man.

Yeah, he IS half bad. Bad on defense. VERY bad. Also, you have to wonder why Portland basically paid 30 million dollars to dump his ass. You don't build championship teams around players like Randolph. Isiah is doing everything he can to try and squeak into the playoffs. He doesn't give two ****s about the future.

^

From what we've seen so far I'd say he's about average defensively.

He had 5 steals against Boston, I mean I'm not impressed or anything, and I'm not trying to be a jolly homer, but the reality is he's not bad.

And no one's claiming he's a franchise player either.

Not me atleast.

For the Knicks to make the playoffs, Zach has to become the focus. He can actually pass out of the double team, can move around and get the ball in different areas, plays at a higher level than Curry on offense and defense, and unlike Curry, is not a turnover waiting to happen. Curry needs to be highlighted when Zach is on the bench, but he cannot be the focal point of a consistent offensive attack. He is just too turnover prone. Zach is a huge upgrade over Frye and if the majority of the team can stay healthy, we should make the playoffs this year.

Well Idk about that.

Zach is no franchise player.

I think we still need that "other guy". A perimeter threat (since the Twin Towers thing only works when you have 2 shotblockers).

Kobe and Artest come to mind...

We obviously need at least one more talented player to balance out this roster, but I am talking about the players that we have now.

As for Houston I this Adelman is a very underrated coach and his offenses always flow nicely- he would have been a good coach for this Knick team.
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

You want to win you have to have Marbury to be the facilitator. Not Z-Bo, Not Curry. Curry is only as good as where the guards get him the ball. If they do a bad job at getting him the basketball then very unlikely that either Curry or Z-Bo has any impact in any game. It begins with the guard play. If Marbury is able to become a good distributor than the Knicks will perform well. The goal of the Knicks should be to become a team that is a high assist team.

In order to win we need both to facilitate.
