do not get extended in the next 36 hours, I've got to believe this severely hampers Chicago's chances of landing Kobe Bryant (thereby increasing our chances).

i think kobe gets traded in the offseason so anything that happens now in terms of contracts won't matter.

secondly, chicago won't be able to trade for kobe until dec 15th anyway b/c they would require nocioni's deal. nocioni + ben + ty + noah + cash would be enough to satisfy a deal for kobe without any extensions to deng/gordon.

Kobe has already said that he wants to play with Ben Wallace, so that trade would not work because Kobe has veto power. Also, I think the Lakers will demand Deng.

Phil Jackson is now starting to crack and starting to separate from KOME. With the media crashing in on him now and the fact the discussions are real it's just of matter of when. I like what Ben Wallace had to say about the idea of playing with him.....

"One player can't get it done," he said. "That's been proven time and time again in this league."

Listen Zach Randolf is not a good team player why LA would want him and crawford who is terrible makes zero sense. Those guys get you no where. Lee and Balkman are good fillers but that deal is not getting it done.

Deng, Gordon and Noah is doable for the bulls leaving them with:

Hinrich
Bryant/Thabo
Nocioni/
Smith/Thomas
Wallace

or they could just give up those two keep noah and give up a first round pick. The Lakers are in a position of power here, as we would be if our gm knew anything about talent, and not mortgaged the future for the 10th best center in the nba

i'm guessing its going to be DENG, BEN-G, NOAH, JOE SMITH, and KRAPA as a throw-in. that works out, salary-wise. LAL gets 3 lotto picks to build around, and no long contracts.

chicago goes to war w/ hinrich, KOBE, ty thomas, nocioni, and ben wallace, with duhon, sefolosha, adrian griffin, and aaron gray. thin up front, but you gotta imagine they'd make a move to shore that up.

the knicks picks help them yield kobe (noah) and also stay competitive (ty thomas would be a stud next to kobe).

My bad. That deal is solid for the Lakers but it would put them in serious rebuild mode. I think they are still going to hold out for Deng.
