With the season opener nearing, I thought it would be nice to conduct a little survey here and figure out finally who's really in cahoots with who. Its been an intersting summer around these parts. Lot of hatin' and lovin' going on side by side. So, if you will, take the time to draw some battle lines as our beloved Knicks get ready to lace them up.

Poster(s) who would make the best Knick general manager: DJ

Poster(s) who would make the best 3rd moderator on UK: Marv

Poster(s) who's got more jokes than Agent Zero and The Big Aristotle combined: BasketballJones, Bippity, Firefly

Poster(s) with more glue sticks in his basement than Starbury (aka - most eccentric): Playa

The two posters you'd most like to see go head-to-head (in other words, Zeke vs. LB part 2): Misterearl and Papabear

Poster you'd most like to get in a steel cage with: Nixluva

Poster who'd give Isiah a run for his money in the category of ... well, fudging the truth: Nixluva

Toughest lover(s) to argue with (merit based): Oohah, Rembee

Toughest hater(s) to argue with (merit based): Blueseats

Top 3 favorite posters (in no particular order): Islesfan, Blueseats, Bippity.

Hmmm, that merit got me. I thought for sure I'd at least make top 3 'toughest haters to argue with'. Maybe next year. At least I made th Rodney Dangerfield list again.

I hate to do these things cause I always leave good people out but I'll just mention a few.

I think DJ and Bip are co-MVPs. They combine knowledge, perspective and levity in a way that is unmatched.

Codeunknown and Islesfan are both tough as nails and I'd never want to be in the cage with either one. Bip is pretty tough too because he's always right and has been telling us as much for 7 years, or so he tells me.

BasketballJones is simply indispensable, and on some days Nalod is my favorite poet since Charles Bukowski.

misterearl is underrated, I enjoy his soft shoed, debonaire charm that is unmatched by anyone but Marv. I'd love to listen in someday while they discuss weighty matters in tweed jackets sipping Hennessy.

As code mentioned, oohah and rembee are two "supporters" (hard to characterize someone in a word) who I enjoy reading and conversing with. TKF also belongs in that camp but he does his best work on another board.

tomverve and holfresh are good to read when they're around.

And no race thread has even begun until killa weights in.

And according to the over 100 looks so far, I'd have to say that there's probably about another 50 to 70 people who feel left out. Nice going! At least I try to talk to (critcize) everyone.
