I hope we don't start the season with avoiding to give Zach the ball in the post.

What I have noticed so far is, the Knicks seem to go away from giving Zach the ball in the post. In the Jersey game you saw Zach taking jumpers when it is clear that no one can stop him in the high post or low post. Yet Isiah rather have Curry post up or the guards shoot from the outside. Then on other games whenever Zach is successful in the post he seems never to get the ball again.

Isiah has to get his act together or you will see many blowouts this year. If Zach is the best player then the team has to give him the ball where he can best be use and that is the post area.

Agreed, I'm of the opinion Zach's going to do well here and is by far the superior post player. It would suck if we need to force feed Curry to get him going. We've got options now in the post and i say the ball goes to whoever is balling and i feel that will be Zach come the opening game. It's too soon to judge Curry in the preseason but i still feel his post up game hasnt improved much from last year. He's stll going to get called for the same fouls if he doesnt add some finnesse to it.

Good points. In the Boston win the Knicks did a double post with Zach and Curry. In the NJ game it was the complete opposite. We had only Curry in the low box while Zach only took jumpers. Then Knicks gave the ball to everyone in the post except Zach. Even Malik was setup in the post.lol

Zach doesn't really need the ball in the post so much as he needs to get the ball while moving. He can create his own shot moving towards the basket. He can make the 18-20 footer, but I dont want to see him taking too many of those shots when he is so effective close to the basket and on the move.

If IT really wants to save his job, he will play Lee and Zach together as much as possible. Zach is a more skilled post player than Curry and is not as turnover prone, Lee provides better defense and passing. You put them on the floor together, and our frontcourt starts to look a little more balanced.

you guys didn't get the memo?

on any given night, either zach or eddy will be snickerdoodled. the fun for fans is guessing which one will be "frye'd" for the evening...maybe we should start a "fryepicker" on the main site?

they may start together but i doubt they crack 10 mins on the floor together the entire game.

zach is so much better than eddy it's not even funny.

what i saw in preseason is that when zach went out, eddy was SO anxious to get his offense off that he started regressing and committing those offensive fouls again.

from their statements about playing together, they both sound very tepid regarding it's possible success.

the tandem can work, but definitely not at the beginning of the season. lee will probably be first man off the bench.

Yep EY was pressing while Zach was being Zach and on a side note EY's face is starting to fill in some and I'm not joking it looks like he could be in weight gain mode already.
