Due to the conf finals results, I think we can get LaFrentz and the 29th pick right now for KT and Othella Harrington.

yeah, but the question is: why would we want to?

7 foot 3-point shooter who can't rebound, post, play D or clog the middle. Big contract too.

I would consider it if we keep big-OH. I would gladly offer Weatherspoon, who would look good to the mavs who were terrible in the paint in the playoffs.

I'm with you on that one. You guys want filler players when NYK needs big time players. Hate to say it again and again but the Knicks have two good players and no superstars on this team. If they want prominence then they have to get a superstar. Whay would you want Lafrentz when you can have a highly skilled player who can give you big numbers night in night out like Rasheed Wallace to me he makes the most sense. Offer Portland Spree, KT and the number 9 pick and get Wallace. He has a contract ready to run out and KT and Spree's contract run out at the end of the season. Only thing is that the Knicks might have to flip flop picks where the Knicks take Portlands 1round and the KNicks give the 9th.

haha... yellow head bands and the old time 1970 gym shorts. you know the cheap cotton ones with the stripe down the side and they hug the nuts and but cheeks....haha... and the calf high tube socks with the thick stripes..LMAO!!!!

The reasoning for this trade is 2 fold.

1. To get a good long center. Come on, he is better than Doleac or Knight. Better than most of the centers in the east.

2. We get the 29th pick which we can parlay to Outlaw, Villanueva, Lang, Varejao or Perkins.

nykbocker i don't think it would hurt anything to have lafrentz with the knicks but i think dallas is going to keep lafrentz

Vescey recently wrote Cuban managed to waste 122MM on Raef, Bradley and (I forget the other stiff)... Raef is way overpaid... he'd fit along nicely with Houston. Sounds like our guy!! Together, they're getting about 50 million more than they should.

Prod, the Mavs will be on the phone to Layden and every other GM throughout the league in an attempt to rid themselves from (a contractual) gaff.

i thought the same thing, but then i just keep thinking that if he loses lafrentz all they have is bradley and popeye jones out west.

if it wasn't cuban i could see but he signed lafrentz to all that money. i don't think he cares about the cap if they are winning
