he ain't never (cough) lied.

The Summer Leaguers (led by Nate with yet another 20) don't suck that bad. Nichols adds a staement.
There are speed bumps to be certain, but this edition of Knicks will continue to be an intriguing story worthy of watching.

Props for Zach. Patience for da yoots.

Balkman, Chandler, Jeffries, Richardson, Nichols

A 5th SF? I guess if we cut Malik it makes sense.

The Answer Man Knows Pre-Season Don't Count

Q. kam77: ... earns a spot and rides the bench in an armani suit all year. hows that work?

A. Nichols get a nice check every two weeks to afford the nice suits

Its understood that Isiah has mismanaged and overpaid for these odd-parts on this roster. Its to the point that we may have to cut a young promising player in DNic, all the while watching someone like James practically steal money while he nurses injury after injury on the end of the bench (and on the end of his couch as he's been a no show at MSG).

With that said, I still dont see Dolan eating James contract with 3 yrs still to go. Is it possible that Isiah might cut someone like Randolph Morris. On first thought, most would say no way because he's 21, 6-11 and is not making much money. However, if were stuck with James, Isiah for some reason still seems forced to try and justify the signing which when he's healthy pushes Morris to third string Center (4th string most nights, when you consider Zach and Lee will play togther alot this yr as well.)

His contract is up after this yr and that is a contract that Dolan can eat so to speak. And if it comes down to who will have a bigger impact down in the yrs to come, one can argue that it could be Nichols as a big shooting guard. The way Malik was talking this summer, it seems unlikely he'd get cut either.

Its a shame that might even come down to this due to the bloated roster, but what other options have we?

franco - i was thinking the same thing comparing Randolph Morris as the emergency center/forward.

Dolan can afford to buy out Jerome James or claim a problemmatic medical issue

You make a big deal about how they got Morris and now you consider him just an emergency center or forward? So basically his walk year will be his first year. Isiah ****ed him just like he ****ed Nichols.

The guy who's really getting screwed here is Walker Russell Jr. Why did Isiah sign him if he wasn't going to keep him on the team? Where will Walker Russell Jr. go if he gets cut by the Knicks?

Walker B Russell? Unfortunately, there is not much room remaining at the crowded guard inn. Best wishes that he catches on someplace to work on his game and be happy.

It should not be tough at all. Buyout the overpaid garbage players who shouldn't even be on the team in the first place.
