There's a Knick informercial on right now on NBC. It's probably the post pathetic thing I've ever seen a professional sports team do.

There are about as many lies and half truths on it, as there are in most infomercials.

They are really pushing hard on selling tickets. Ticket sales must be really weak.

Remember when they could count on their play on the court and the love of their fans to sell tickets? That's over. They suck, their management sucks and their fans are pissed.

It's so sad being a Knicks fans.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

I haven't even decided if I'm gonna buy NBA league pass this year. The Knicks haven't put together a product worth spending money to watch and I don't want to spend that much money just to watch other teams play.

I just purchased it a couple days ago for the simple fact I didn't want to wait and get ripped for the $30.00 extra bucks. If you're thinking about it decide now to get it otherwise you're going to get screwed on the special. Besides there are probably 29 other teams that are more exciting to watch than ours.

Hmmm. I didn't know the price would go up. I probably will end up getting league pass, although this is the first time I've ever had to even stop to think about the decision. I could just watch a lot of Celtics game here in Maine without paying any extra money. Then I'll get to see three of the most exciting players play often.

I ordered league pass for the first time last year, but I won't be re-ordering this year. It's a great package for the hardcore, but my (dis)interest in the league these days just doesn't warrant it. Between the Knicks on MSG, the Nets on YES, ESPN and TNT it's a lot of hoops to watch. I want to actually watch less ball this year than more.

But if you're flush with dough and like the option of seeing any given game it's a nice luxury to have.

Of course if I didn't already have MSG I'd be more inclined.

I read a blurb that said ticket sales have been fine so far despite the trial and all the negative media coverage.

All teams will go for the hard sell when it comes to season tickets and so forth. Many of the fans are simply excited for the start of a new season and aren't really following every preseason game as hard as us. Until this team actually plays regular season games at home, I think the fans will come out expecting a good showing. If they don't play well at home then you'll see the ugliness like last year.

As for league pass, I bought it and i'm a junky so I watch a lot of the other NBA games too. What I don't like is that they aren't showing any of the preseason games and they have next to no post game coverage. You'd think that we could get that for all the money we pay. Would it hurt to stick with the broadcast for a half hour? I'm thinking of starting a petition for better service from the NBA in this regard.

There is no reason not to get League Pass. I have had League Pass since 1998. There is too much of basketball for you not to have league pass. It is great to see other teams play and watch other players from other teams develop.

Yeah, but I don't have any emotional attachment to those teams or players. I wouldn't know who to root for and if I don't root for a team, I won't enjoy it enough to watch.

If you're an NBA fan, it's good to have. I ahve NBA PASS too but this yr will be 10x times better cause you get 7 games a night on HD.. Look, it's not easy being a knicks fan right now so you're best bet is to watch the NBA as a whole.

Hey, maybe we can watch other superstar players on the leagie pass and visioned how they'd look in a knicks uniform.

The Future. GO KNICKS!

I just like basketball. It's not about rooting for another team, but I like to see certain players play. Sometimes I will watch teams a day or two before they play the Knicks to make an early scouting report.

I am curious how guys will play this year. Like for example I want to see how Rashard Lewis will play on the Magic so I will watch Magic games. Chirs Paul, Nash, D Williams are point guards that I will be looking at during the year. I also like Baron Davis so I will keep a close eye out for GS. There are so many player's games that I like that I love watching them on league pass. NOt to mention I will keep a close eye on the teams in our division.
