Ok guys - as I am sure you are all aware, Larry Brown left the 76ers. I also assume most of you have read the NY post article on how NY should just make him an offer. We also know that Dolan is a moron - he has kept Layden who screws up every opportunity he gets. Maybe he has bad Karma, who knows. But its time the fans and the media put pressure on Dolan to do the right thing. We cannot take another season of this bad brand of basketball. We have to do SOMETHING. Get it through his head that Larry Brown could help this franchise - making good decisions and good coaching. More then Don Chaney and Layden have ever been capable of. Sure he has allowed Don to go look for new assistant coaches, but that was before LArry Brown was on the market. They need to try to get him, do whatever it takes. And we need to do something to let him know thats the direction this team should be headed in - any ideas how we can get this done?

Make Larry Brown an offer ?....I don't think so. I think Larry's real interest is with Cleveland, and if the rumor got out NY is interested, that kind of rumor may seal Larry's selection to Cleveland. Our Man is Chaney. PERIOD

Larry should be offered whatever he wants, salary wise and capacity wise, to come here. He's a winner, period and we cant continue to let talent slip away from us.

a great coach is, well, great, but... the knicks have veterans. who should, by now, know how to play, since this is more or less the same core from the 99 run to the finals, minus camby.

larry brown is best at getting younger guys to play better, period. he was capped out with the sixers. he couldn't get them any further, so it was time for a new coach there. the team we currently have, is maxed out. this team, although larry brown would be a great coach, just needs some more talent, period.

Neither Holzman nor Auerbach could help this team.

Larry's not stupid... why would he want the Knicks job?

Who could believe the Pistons dumped Carlisle in favor of Larry Brown. Brown is good but Carlisle is REALLY talented and in my opinion the better coach in this era.

Larry Brown in Detroit would be great for basketball. I think that team is vintage Brown especially with Joe Dumars there. Both guys have a history of just revamping and changing player personel like crazy when things aren't working out.

Detroit may be in the Finals pretty darn soon fellas.

The Knicks? If they can try to rebuild in house then maybe the Knicks can finally have a foundation and a soul....cuz the Lord knows how many times the organization sold it's soul to get a quick fix.....the Knicks keep trying but they always get punnished for the stupid moves they make.

I wish we can stop throwing out the Great tag when discussing Larry brown. No One person should be described as great when he leaves a job half done. A teacher of the game yes, installs discipline...yes..GREAT....at what being a nomad well yes. If a player was doing what he does than Reilly from Si , Stupida from the Dailys, would be on his azz. He has nerve saying he doesn;t want to impede on phillys progress. you mean phillys second round loss and no future of winning a championship should not impede on your progress. Which is it Chicken or the EGG larry. i thinks it's the chicken, cause if no one sat on the damn egg, it wouldn't hatch, you keep leaving before that egg hatch larry, i got a qoute from one of my favorite Documentaries, pimps up hoes down "A quitter never wins, and a winner never Quits" You remember that Larry, you got most of them Fooled.

the thing i can not understand is why the pistons fired carlisle in the first place? was it JUST to get brown? i did not hear any previous news that they were unhappy with carlisle. as a matter of fact i think carlisle overachieved by propelling a team like detroit into the eastern conference finals. this is a team with no superstar and no legitimate go to person. but he build on their strength andmade them believe that they were better than they were. he improved the team each year. that does'nt warrant a firing. as far as brown is concern, why pick detroit? yeah, i know they have a good defensive team ( a brown trademark)and a second overall draft pick but he had the chance to coach a team like houston who, in my opinion, has the potential to be a much better team. as a matter of fact, with a good coach, houston can be a title contender in two years. this is puzzling.

The reason why they fired Caryle and picked up Brown is that Caryle was afraid to play his rookies in the regular season and that peed off Joe Dumars. He wanted (Carlye) wanted to keep his winning % and won lost record intact so he played his vets during the reg season. But we found out that regular season that Prince and Okur would have been further along if Carlyl would have brown a "SAC" and played those guys, which he choose not to do. He prefered C.Robinson and Big Nasty instead of developing Prince and Okur. Brown works well with developing young players it was a no brainer. Word on the street was during the playoffs against the Magic, a lot of players lost respect for Carlye even though they came bac to beat the lowly Magic.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
