Dear Isiah, I've supported you for so long. Through the crazy trades and draft picks when nobody believed in you, I looked at the potential. Ol' buddy, ol' pal, it doesn't look so good anymore.
You've done what you promised, sort of... You built a team chock full of talented players. Now what? You have to be starting to realize that you won't be able to get them to mesh together. They look bad in the preseason. Not even so much bad, as unprofessional. When you go to the YMCA, sometimes you see a bunch of young studs play the old dudes that wear short shorts, goggles and headbands and the old dudes school the young studs. Watching the Knicks is like watching that game every night. Everyone thinks they're a star, there's no plan, there are too many careless plays, its just ugly basketball.
The fact that we have 20, yes 20 players on the roster is horrific. And its horrific because most of them should be on the roster, but the ones who should be cut won't be cut.
A few things are clear to any Knicks fan out there at this point - Fred Jones has no role on a young, building team and should be cut or traded now - Marty Collins should be playing more than half of the game at the point now - Crawford is, at best a 4th quarter comeback specialist who should ONLY be used in that role - Jeffries, not Nichols is the wing player that should be deported to Europe to refine his game - If Rose is going to spend the whole season on the bench coaching...he should be a coach, not a player taking a roster spot - Jerome James has been talking to Carl Pavano - If Nate can be used in a specific 5 minute spurt, change tempo role he can be "Nate the Great" for us, don't use him for 15 minutes at a time, the other team will match up eventually - Curry and Randolph can play on the floor at the same time, but you have to have specific players on the floor with them to make that work, i.e. Chandler, Q, Marty so that they are not doubled and their defense isn't a massive problem - Lee is a power forward, don't let him shoot his way to being an inefficient player
All these things are obvious to the fans, so don't pretend you're fooling us anymore. The time for talk with this team is over. You have about 3 rosters worth of players. I could make 3 mediocre teams from this roster. You can make one good team, but all the extra crap has to get cut off.
You're doing the players with skill and determination on this roster a disservice by playing or even keeping the guys around who do not have it.
Cut James, cut Jeffries, cut Rose, cut Jones, send Jordan to play in Europe, and let's go do something this season.
Start Marty, Q, Chandler, Zach and Curry, that team would have mismatches all over the damn place in our favor. Bring a bench crew of Steph, Lee and Balkman. Bring Nate in as a spark and only in that role. In the 4th, if you're down, you have Craw and Nichols and if they're having "ON" nights, you're going to steal some games.
Do all that and you would have an unhappy bunch... until they actually started winning games.
Why would we not do exactly this Isiah? Are we going to trade for another all-star? For one, I don't see it happening, for two, I don't know if they would fit in, and for three, how many games do we lose trying to keep a 15 man rotation going?
This crap doesn't make sense any more Isiah. I've been with you, but I'm the last one jumping off the band wagon. Do something to make sense of your roster now. The talent is there. Get the junk out of the way so that the talent can be allowed to go out and save your job.
Peace, I'm out, word to your mother...

Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
