As we approach the start of the season, there is one bit of insurance that we have that we haven't had the last 2 years. WE STILL OWN OUR OWN DRAFT PICK THIS YEAR! If all else fails, it might come in handy. Let's see if we can hold on to it, instead of a throw in on some stupid trade for Artest.

I prefer calling it undersized small foward, TMS.

Isiah will trade the pick soon enough. If he's allowed to by the NBA.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

isiah can trade this pick but can't trade 2009 or 2011 since it's most likely we will be giving up 2010's pick to complete the marbury deal.

is the roster any more cleared up next summer? I remember that on a dnic thread- it wasn't.

JJ1 needs to be bought out- in fact, if everyone on this board would just pull coupons for mcdonald, I think we might have enough.

But to the original point- I do hope we suck the worse way possible this year- that does 2 things-

gets rid of isiah & gets us a chance at a top pick.

Question: how was Isiah able to give away our 2006 and 2007 picks? Was the "option to swap" a loop hole in the rule that you can't trade them away in consecutive years?

Funny how Layden had a hardon for undersized PF's & Isiah's got a hardon for undersized G's, err, i mean SF's

yes

I'm pretty excited about the prospect of drafting the next Channing Frye.

Isiah has been pretty damn good at drafting and to fault him for Channing is a little short-sighted. The draft pickee also has a bit of an obligation to show up and get better. Lee, Balk, Ariza. Pretty darn good. Not to mention Nate, DNich, and Chandler who all have a chance to do well in this league.

DNic elsewhere tho. Apparently Isiah underwhelmed himself with that pick.

Role Players and Backups.

Those are the roles that those players have a chance to do well in and that's up for debate.
