“I really believe that a lot of prayer and belief has gotten me to this point,” he said. “People are going to state facts about the condition of your knee. But miracles happen every day. So there’s some things you don’t explain, and I don’t really care.”

Thomas was careful not to judge Houston’s comeback attempt or predict the outcome. But he was frank about the circumstances, saying that any other 36-year-old with a history of knee problems “never would have” been invited to camp. Houston’s stature, as the fourth leading scorer in franchise history, got him through the door.

“He’s deserving of this chance and this opportunity, and I’m giving it to him,” Thomas said. But that clout will not be enough to win him a roster spot. “Only what you do on the floor gives you clout,” Thomas said.

LOL I SAY UGH is pissed you can tell by all the innuendos, this totally wasn't his decision and I sense he's getting the vibe he's losing a little power over this club. He's in a pickle because he put himself in this situation by handing out albatross contracts to gimmick players. If they waive or cut James then that's a signing that was a total mistake(always has been), If they cut Jones he has only 1 wing defender left on the team in Balkman, If they cut Nichols it's a wasted pick with potential value that will go to another team.

What will happen to I SAY UGH if he cuts Dolan's binkie? Is this the final straw that will break the camel's back? It seems as if I SAY UGH wants to cut him so bad.

Just what in the freakin hell has Big Turd & Jared Fish Lips ever done on the court to gain them any clout to earn a roster spot on this team? what a crock of you know what.

“Only what you do on the floor gives you clout,”
Translation: Only the contract that I have to justify giving you or the assets I have to justify giving up in a trade for you give you clout.

Until Isiah makes his final decision I fail to see what all the bashing is about. This team is deeper. This team is full of more good young players. This team has a greater sense of purpose and identity. This team has better chemistry. So now all he has to do is to make a choice between Jerome, H2O and Nichols.

That's actually a good thing. Steph, Jamal, Q, Zach & Curry - Lee, Nate, Jared, Mardy, Balkman - Jones, Chan, Morris, Malik - then either Jerome, DNic or H2O. No matter who he chooses, it would seem that they would be looking at very limited playing time. They're not even likely to be in the rotation unless there's major injury. This team is so deep that there isn't any reason to stress over such a thing as the 15th man.

Isiahs actions have screamed that James was a mistake. Not getting any burn, some of the comments Isiah has made the last two training camps (especially the beginning of this one) about James not being in shape, the fines he received.....I think it'll be a lot easier for Isiah to cut him. I'm just not sure Dolan wants to pay another player he isn't wearing a knick uniform.

Wouldn't make much sense to rent Jones for one season (contract is up next summer) then let him go and lose out on both Jones and Nichols. I say, cut Houston and James, and send Jordan overseas. Nichols makes the final cut.
"Man, who knows with this team." Aguirre.

What the hell is UGH?

"I Say Ugh" is his phonetic rendering of "Isiah".

The title of this article is somewhat misleading - I almost expected to be reading about the quick end of H20's comeback attempt.
