I happened to have had the opportunity to watch the Knicks-76ers game from courtside. I have been a Knicks fans from childhood, remembering games at the Garden with Clyde pushing the ball up on a break and Earl the Pearl cutting to the hole for a magical 2 points. For the first time in my life I got to watch a Knicks game from the floor and I heard and saw things that other seats just don't offer. I saw the Knicks enjoying themselves, praising one another. I saw Nate with a glare in his eyes and a determination to play better defense. I saw him d'ing up before the ball was even thrown in. And most importantly, I saw Nate as the ref seemed to make a bad call, Nate walked over as if he was going to say something and it was as if maturity told him to accept the call and move on, because that is exactly what he did. I saw David Lee with a tenacious desire to rebound and box out and fill the lanes on the break. One of the highlights for me was when I saw Zach fighting for a rebound, eventually Dalembert grabbed it but in Zach's desire to grab the rebound he fell on the floor and in a playful motion roll over as if to do a half somersault right next to me, and I told him to get up, he laughed, jumped up and ran down to play defense. I also got to see the competitive spirit that Zach showed..a fire that will be needed on this team. A fire that will be contagious. The best thing I can say about this game was as a fan, my team was having fun and they were really cheering one another on. Each time the Sixers got close, NY seemed to bear down and get serious. But from the rookies to the veterans I sensed purpose for this team. Chandler got up so high on a dunk, all I could do was shake my head and hope that all this individual talent will gel into something special. At least I can say that this team looks like it is really on a mission. They believe in Isaiah, and they appear to believe in themselves. Q looked really good and you can see the extra weight on Jamal is going to help him to be a better defender. I can also say Jared Jordan can handle that rock. It will be ashame if D-Nic gets cut, that guy can flat out shoot, even though he shot an airball. His J is sticky sweet. Dont forget Marbs, he seemed to really be concentrating on running the team and getting others their shots. I was impressed with our Knicks. This was a dress rehearsal, I can't wait for the real show.

What's up brav? I was at the game underneath the basket on the end you were sitting at. If you live in the Cola or close, we'll have to hook up and catch the Bobcat game in Dec. I didn't see all of the positives that you did, but that's cool. Always interesting to hear another perspective. I do agree that Nate was pickin up full court on his D and Zach really impressed me. Talked a lot to his team, himself, and Dalembert. He seemed to be the only one who was glad to be playing.

Thanks for the write-up.

Zach Randolph when he played verse us, allways came off as a guy that just brought competitiveness, fire & energy. But he also came off as a guy that didn't pass the ball enough either. He could easily average 4-5 assist a game with his skill level. Him looking to pass more is one thing that could bring his game to another level as well as bring the team to another level.

Despite all the disappointment, I am a Knicks fan. When they suck I get down on them, but they seem like they are in for a good year. I don't live in Carolina but I travel alot, so we can definitely get together at the Bobcats or the Hawks games..give me a shout at ravs87@aol.com and we can connect. Good to get together with not only fans of the Knicks but fans of the game...peace. I will say this, I am really excited about the team..Oh, and even though he is not the Knicks mascot..Hip Hop was pretty good.
