Started out 3-0 in Pre-season last yr finished 4-2 and delivered an impressive regular season out of the gate on pace to a 38win season. Look at the start simply champion like

http://www.nba.com/knicks/schedule/results_2006.html

Lovers have the unconditional Love(The kind of love where their baby can do no wrong and when in a jam proceeds to bail them out every time, which leads to self destruction never learning from istakes)

Haters have that tough Love(The kind of Love that disciplines, every now and then lays the belt on the back side and when kid gets in a jam when it's clearly their fault takes the hands off approach and leaves them to find their own way out, which leads to them becoming stronger and learning from mistakes)

Not kidding at all. I see big things for this team and it seems like Knicks fans are happy with the win while KNicks haters are bitter.

Ok, but you're really picking 48 wins? That's Nixluva territory.

If you think that the people that post regularly on this site aren't knick fans, you need your head checked. Do you honestly think that non-Knick fans would waste that much time here? Remember, people don't get paid to post on this site.

If all our major players are healthy I see that as reasonable.

Curry
Zach
Lee
Chandler
Craw
Marbury
Nate
Balk
Qrich

Are as talented as any other top 9 in the east

When you root for the other team to win games you are no longer a Knicks fan.
As far as posting here many democrats post on republican boards. I see no huge leap there.

Thats actually quite a leap. Think about it. Democrats and Republicans function essentially in a binary political system that affects all of us. The Knicks are 1 of 30 teams in 1 of many mainstream sports. Its hard to believe that "haters" are born specifically to make your life difficult. Consider the numbers and the proportion of "haters" on this site. Do you think its likely that non-fans would out-number fans? Or is it more likely that you're mischaracterizing the "haters"? "Haters" who I should remind you don't like another NBA team and dream constantly about 400 different ways that the Knicks could get better.

Secondly, thats a poor definition of a fan. Revise it. When fans want their team to lose a game during the end of the regular season so they can play an easier playoff opponent, are they poor fans? The answer should clearly be no.The fam merely wants fewer obstacles for his team. Analagously, wanting your team to lose - so that Isiah is removed - better managment is brought in - and the team does better in the long run keeps you in the realm of a fan. This should be obvious even to you, despite your infatuation with the lover-hater dynamic.

You gotta start listing names instead of doing stuff like this, otherwise everything you say is lighter than a feather.

The problem is, if everything had clicked right we've had the talent to win 48 games every year since 2004 (if not before. Had everything clicked right Dyess, Houston, KT and Spree would have been a nice core).

The issue is why everything never seems to click right here.

That is accurate for last season. The season before Lee was a rookie as was Nate. Even last season was less talented because of Frye starting not Zach. I dont personally think our talent has been very good up until last season. Our talent from 2002-2005 was below average.

I also didnt say if everything clicks. I just said if we stay healthy.

So mutiny, apathy, chemistry problems, Wackobury, embattled management, etc, can't derrail this train? It has before...

They can for sure but I dont see it as likely.

Mutiny wont happen. Players are loyal to Isiah

Apathy I do no see happening. Too many competive guys.

Chemistry problems are always possible with new players.

"Wackobury" could cause a lot more problems in the past than he can now. In the past he had more power than the coach. Now he is viewed as the 4th best player by most fans and his power is minimal.

Management problems are hard to imagine. Dolan and Isiah are tied at the hip and Isiah is basically his own boss.

Health problems are the most likely problem. If they are avoided 48 wins is a reasonable goal in my opinion.

Every year is different. Different players. different coachs. Different win totals.

That really should be: Mostly the same players, same coach, similar win total.

Every year is different... but oddly similar.

I hear where you are coming from, all I can say is those same arguments could have been made last year, in the post Larry Brown era, and still they posed problems. Theory aside, it's up to the team to silence it's critics for a change.
