Everyone worries about how many points Zach will score and if Curry will mesh with him offensively. This team needs to worry about chemistry, cutting down turnovers, and blocking more shots. I know David's goal is to average 4 assists, add a steal and a block shot, and cut down on turnovers. Defensively this team is horrible and they dont care of the ball. Eddy and Zach will get their points but can they do it in a efficient way? Can Eddy cut down on turnovers? Will Lee be a better defender? Will Zach play any defense? Will Steph and Jamal take good shots and make the game easier for others. The Knicks have talent but do they have the heart and character to win?

I worry about people who worry

the chemistry among their collection of vets is bad. this would be a good time to make a bold move and move several of them, through trade or cut, and build with the kids.

Chemistry will come with fewer turnovers as the guys naturally learn each others tendencies. When the team starts turning the ball over less a few things will happen. The defense will not be giving up as many points obviously, and the demoralizing opponent fast break off a turnover will be reduced, thus giving a twofold benefit. As players become accountable for taking care of the ball they'll naturally then focus on other little things such as Free throws and boxing out their man. Getting up on three point shooters is nice and all, but Eddy becoming a better FT shooter and our big turnover guys Crawford, Curry, Zach, Marbs taking better care of the ball is most important.

Trade either Crawford or preferably Marbury for a ball-hawking, control the pace, high Ast-TO ratio PG and we can win a round in the playoffs.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I think that initially there will be some problems, but I also think that as the season moves along that the team will get better and improve it's chemistry. Due to our make up, I don't ever expect this group to play like the Spurs, Jazz or Suns. We have too many mistake players. But I do expect that we'll cut down on the mistakes as the year goes along. Just cutting down a bit would make a huge difference. 2-3 fewer TO's would make a huge difference for us. A few more minutes of solid D, could make the difference in wins and losses too. We don't have to be a great defensive team to win. We just need to get good enough on D, and continue to excel on O. A more efficient Offense will be our best defense. I felt that way last year and I still do. 20 or more assists and 15 or less TO's is what we're looking for this year.

This is why IT is focusing on defense in camp and preseason. He knows this team will be able to score. The question is can it defend well enough to consistently win games. If IT can improve the defensive effort and effectiveness and cut down on the turnovers (primarily by running the ball through Randolph more than Curry), we should see a huge jump in our win total.

Isiah is stressing defense, so I would expect the team to play better team defense. Defense does seem to be a week point on this team, but I'm going to wait and see if the focus on defense pays off. It did seem like Marbury's defense was better last season.

how come last year the knicks never improved on turnovers and chemistry? does this team need two years for what other teams take less than a year to do.

too many mistake players=no chemistry=lead the league in turnovers, again.

the theme for the year must be "sacrifice", otherwise it's gonna be a dissapointing season.
