If you have an early mock draft post it here. Here's mine from 1-39.

1. Cleveland-LeBron James
2. Detroit-Darko Milicic
3. Denver-Carmelo Anthony
4. Toronto-Chris Bosh
5. Miami-TJ Ford
6. LA Clippers-Chris Kaman
7. Chicago-Dwayne Wade
8. Milwaukee-Maciej Lampe
9. New York-Michael Sweetney...he's our guy unless pick is traded or Baby Shaq has exceptional workouts. He's the most ready to make an impact and is slightly undersized but is likely the next Elton Brand.
10. Washington-Jarvis Hayes
11. Golden State-Kirk Hinrich
12. Seattle-Sofoklis Schortsianitis
13. Memphis-Mickeal Pietrus
14. Seattle-Luke Ridnour
15. Orlando-Reece Gaines
16. Boston-Nick Collison
17. Pheonix-Boris Diaw
18. New Orleans-Aleksandar Pavlovic
19. Utah-Leandrinho Barbosa
20. Boston-Pavel Podkolzin
21. Atlanta-Marcus Moore
22. New Jersey-Maurice Williams
23. Portland-Travis Outlaw
24. LA Lakers-David West
25. Sacramento-Anderson Varejao
26. Minnesota-Zaur Pachulia
27. Memphis-Mario Austin
28. San Antonio-Carlos Delfino
29. Dallas-Zarko Cabarkapa
30. Cleveland-Marcus Banks
31. New York-James Lang...big guy who can see minutes right away because of size. He's a gamble, but one worth taking in second round.
32. LA Lakers-Viktor Khryapa
33. Miami-Rick Rickert
34. LA Clippers-Ndudi Ebi
35. Milwaukee-Brian Cook
36. Chicago-Dahntay Jones
37. Atlanta-Charlie Villanueva
38. Washington-Chris Thomas
39. New York-Slavko Vranes...another huge guy that we can keep overseas until we feel he would help. We don't need another second rounder to rot the bench right now.

I dont know about him for number 9. This guy Podkolzin, he could dribble and shoot like a guard and he's 7-4 300. I would like to see him in a knicks jersey and if he's gone then Lampe.

Podkolzin might be decent and definitely has tremedous upside, but he has foot/ankle problems and is under a 10-year deal with his current team. He's also only 18 and doesn't play like a true center yet so he won't contribute right away. He's a guy you would take with the second of your two first round picks if you were to have two. We could trade for a mid-first round pick and he would be excellent but he might be too much of a gamble to take with the 9th pick. Sweetney is a sure pick and Baby Shaq might be slightly less of a sure pick, but is a similar player. Either would be fine.

What he means is he likes to try to play out of position, something he shouldn't be doing. He roams the perimeter and doesn't really do much yet. He can hit a mid range shot and can put the ball on the floor a little and is a decent athlete but by no means has guard skills. He just thinks like one right now.

Many want to see if Podkolzin has real guard skills, when in reality he can't pass or maybe never want's to. This kid can really move up and down the floor. It would mean taking a chance on him but sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures. The knicks need a center who is adept to shooting on the perimeter to draw the opposing center out to allow inside penetration by guards. But if you think he is too much of a gamble take a look at this guy lampe who could also hit that perimeter jumper. I am also afraid of running into another WEIS situation, but sometimes you gotta take chances.

Don't forget, guys. Layden could always pick Collison.

Baby Shaq is the way to go if he measures at 6'10". If Lampe falls then pick him.
