if the knicks brass came to you and said we are gonna offer you the max, i would bet my life against anyone saying, "No i'm not worth that much... 8 mil per year will do"...

of course he is not what anyone would prolly want for 100 mil but it's new york and new york has to have something to market, so i imagine they got behind allan houston...

i wish he could be... like mike or kobe or mcgrady...but that doesn't make me fail to open my eyes and see that the guy stepped his game up last year. i know, i know you are saying, "his game?, the only game he has his scoring.."

i know... but at least he has stepped it up...

i wouldn't vote allan houston for an nba all-star, of course not but at the same time i can appreciate someone like allan houston...i'm not in love with him but i'm not as disappointed in him as i use to be...

all i'm saying is give the man some credit.

the knicks woes are frustrating for not only diehard fans but for the players also...but the man showed me something last year which is a little bit more than he has shown in his past years,

i aint mad at him...

all those years as a fan and now i'm the anti-knick. life is crazy aint it.

Prod I like Houston because how he carries himself and the fact that he was on a team with no inside presence and no other scoring threat but spree and he put up some nasty games, and I mean against the lakers and the bucks who have players that are athletic and long. To score like he did this year against other teams best defenders is amazing, and he does it more efficiently than almost any player in the league, I mean he shoots a high % and is great from the line, what he did last year was nice to watch..

what happened was nice to watch we lost about 50 games, that was nice to watch what is the world coming to Allan played well, but i rarely watched. I cant watch a team that just sucks like them. The only thing on my mind watching them is that payroll.

I have to get behind prod on this - Allan took the money that was offered. He didn't play hardball to get it. Separate his game from the contract, and you'd love to have him on any team. He's a gentleman and a sportsman, like Duncan. Arguably the nicest guy in the league. Arguably the most efficient 2 guard as well.

If anyone wants to get mad about the contract, get mad at the one who signed the check! But Allan isn't guilty here. He didn't draft Weis or Trade Ewing. He just played ball and accepted a check. I would too. And I would dare someone to find fault with my willingness to do so. - >Ching.<

Let's just get a center so we can leave Allan alone. He'll be out when his contract is up. Like it or not, he's the one we build around until then.

For sure, no one should be able to find fault in Allan getting the 100 mil....there was nothing to negotiate. Playing for NY at a 100 mil
showing the kind of value on returns is why fans have a hard time with Houston's contract.

And for the last 2 seasons Allan joins elite company with Juwan Howard as the other 100 mil dollar man that failed to make the playoffs.

Plus, chemistry can do a lot...The Spurs were swept by LA one year, and hand them an ass-kicking right after. Dincan was the same guy both years, so the scales were arguably tipped by the role players...what does Allan have to work with? Not nearly as much as Duncan. I'd sure give up Ward and Spree for Parker and Ginobili right now...

And in late breaking news, *Dincan* changed his name back to 'Duncan'.
