He has a harder time with the international players. All the other top international prospects suffer from the same disease. He's much more intrigued by the players he's never played against.
Darko's not impressed with Mickael Pietrus or Victor Khryapa. He swears that Sofaklis Schortsanitis is really only 6-foot-8, and he reserves his harshest judgment for Pavel Podkolzin, whom he played against last year.
"Pavel can't even walk," he says with a grin. "So how can he play in the NBA."
Darko then starts refreshing the mock draft web page.
With the No. 2 pick in the draft, the Denver Nuggets
Thats all the Knicks need George Muersan two.the bottom line those types of players are always hurt. He doesnt even play for his team and darko said he can barely walk--thats what someone wants to use the 9 pick on??????????????????????????
By the way NJ has done pretty well with their team based on athletiscm--who is there center or shot blocker? wellit wa supposedto be Mutumbo but they got to the Finals without 1 .
I will repeat the theme the Knicks need athletsicm just as much or more as any componenet. That is why I want to get a second first round pick so we can nab the best athlete in the draft in Outlaw.
I believe strongly that the ninth pick wil not be used and we can only PRAY that we can trade it for someone young with athletiscm in the frontcourt who can play now---i.e Stromile Swift.
With the revelation that Mcdyess still might come back sometime next year-we are out ofany potential Wallace trade. But Ive had somethoughts that NY MAY get involved with looking into raef Lafrentz. Dallas signed him to a 7year 70mm and my bet is that they will look to get outof that contract. They could easily grab the 9 pick Ward and Knight and just draft Nick Collison whocan probably do just want Lafrentz does for much cHEAPER

Sweetney would be a better choice over Collison right now. I think the Knicks will take Sweetney if he gets past Milwaukee at #8 and if Sofo doesn't have outstanding workouts. As for Collison, the earliest i think he will go is #12 to Seattle.

I didn't see Collison play except in the last game... is he rugged enough to play PF in the NBA? Or is he more of an oversized SF, ala Dirk?
More like ala Laettner haha but I think Collison might be better suited for the NBA, he seems a bit tougher. I think he might have a solid role playing future.

He reminds me of a pre-injured Googs, which definitely isn't a bad thing. Sweetney, however, has Elton Brand written all over him. More like ala Laettner haha but I think Collison might be better suited for the NBA, he seems a bit tougher. I think he might have a solid role playing future.
