I think this summer was the summer for Eddy to come to camp FINALLY in good shape with a new attitude... And all signs point to that not being the case.

Now there are a lot of things working against Curry having a good year.

#1 - Zach Randolph is just flat out a much better version of Eddy Curry, in all ways. So if Eddy is slacking, he really should get benched asap for Lee and move Zach to center who will almost certainly outplay Eddy on most nights.

#2 - I think Eddy feels like he proved himself last year, he got praised like he was some sort of god for barely living up to potential

#3 - If hes not in shape I dont see his defense improving and we just simply cant afford to have 2 terrible defenders down low. If Zach is scoring which he will.. Eddy will have to pick it up elseware to co-exist... i dont see this happening.


I say trade him now while his value is decent cuz i could see him entering into Steve Francis "Untradable" land very soon.

yea i started a similar one at the beginning of last year when i was pissed off at his media day pics when he looked like a fat ****.........

Lets see where this one takes us... Hopefully it will be upped every time Eddy has a good game and hopefully that will be a lot

I could care less about his offense the team appear to have enough to get the job done. I don't want to see this from him that's for sure

I think it'll be a good sign if Curry shows up to camp fat and out of shape. That'll mean he hasn't worn himself out or undernourished himself over the summer.

Ideally, he spent the summer in bed, with regular access to plenty of this:

Zach played elbow to baseline and out to 15ft, Curry played 6inches from the basket. That probably factors into what their percentages were.

Elite - why not simply admit you despise Eddy Curry, no matter what his production is and be done with it The mere suggestion of benching Eddy Curry before he gets to training camp is so transparent its comical.

So, what Elite is suggesting is that Eddy Curry will have a dissapointing season at 24 years old based on an out of focus photograph?

Allow me to suggest that David Lee, coming off injury, will have a dissapointing season. He allowed his hair to grow too long which suggests he is too lazy to see a barber. He looked blubbery in Las Vegas...

Some things just aren't worth worrying about. It is a lousy picture that does not give a good enough glimpse into Curry's condition. Definately way too early to dismiss Eddy right now, before even training camp.

That said, Eddy has left room for these pesimistic expectations. The only way to silence these thoughts is to come out and prove the doubters wrong on the court. Until he can do that, you have to expect this kind of mentality in fans.

After making several strides towards improve last season, I'm definately willing to atleast give him training camp before dismissing him as a lost cause this season.

November can't come soon enough.

I agree with earl - Eddy will be as usual but Zuck will suck big time.
Lee will get reduced minutes and will show some regeress to.
So Eddy will be fine.

I just see him taking a backseat to Zach production wise and the only way i dont see that happening is if he is in great shape which i am doubting he will be in
