since we have too many, i was thinking of what teams would need a point guard, add to my list cuz i know i missed a lot....

atlanta
chicago
lakers (they prob dont care though)
grizzlies (back up to williams)
Golden State
Nets (back up)
Orlando?
Celtics

there are a lot more, but i think these are the ones that need them the most, esp atlanta and chicago. ward for nazr mohammed or for brad miller? (imagine ward for ewing...i wish thatd happen)

Why each of those teams you listed wouldnt work:

atlanta- just signed davis and vaughn in the offseason

chicago- has anthony and ollie

grizz- have knight

golden state- has mookie and cummings

nets- why would anyone want a 6 milllllion dollar backup for jkidd

orlando- has hudson, armstrong, and alexander (hill and tmac could also play

celtics- would want us to take anderson in return, so that wouldnt work

i say we just trade ward to washington for an autographed jordan jersey and a bag of chips

Hawks are real high on Nazr Mohammed. He played well at the end of last season. We would need to give up more than Ward. How bout Eisley for Mohammed?

get real. but i would trade with the celtics they arent a real threat to us anyway.

M.Mackson + Ward + Harrington
for
Randy Brown + Tony Battie + 2nd round pick

I think the bottom line is that our Point Guards are too old and expensive...That's what makes them untradeable...

You forgot the Knicks, they need a good point guard too.

I dont think the Knicks would be able to trade jackson or ward without taking another high priced player in return also Ward gets a 20% raise in salary if he gets traded so that makes him even harder to trade. if the knicks were to trade any of the point guards they should trade jackson and maybe houston for brandon and a dean garret or some big man on that team.

I actually like that deal.....it gives us a hard nosed defensive PG and a guy who is actually taller than 6'10 to play backup C.......although I'd rather hold onto charlie, and let them keep Randy Brown....

right now I would trade ward + the exception for any BIG man we can get. Anyone who is a true center (size wise) i would take. If we trade ward we CANNOT get another player who is not a center in return (except omar). The idea of having ward+jackson+eisely is even WORSE than the houston+spree+rice. We need to trade ward for ANY big man we can get. If you are going to have a log jam at a possition its best to have it at center.

The Knicks apparently have some offers on the table for Charlie Ward. Golden State looks like a candidate to me simply because of their logjam inside.

Dampier or Foyle would be a perfect solution for us. I do wonder though if a trade were to happen would gs then match the offer sheet concerning Marc Jackson or will they still let him go?
