The NY POST reports that GM SCOTT LAYDEN will renew his efforts to get KEITH VAN HORN over the summer. It is well known that both LAYDEN & CHANEY both still covet VAN HORN. Please don't trade our #9 pick for him. lol..... I would still do the KVH for SPREWELL !!!! Just keep our pick LAYDUM !!!

2 things:

You gotta start reading the articles more closely. It was the author suggesting Scott should pursue Van Horn, not that Scott was doing so. A subtlety no doubt, but a distinct one.
The Knicks have long tried to get bigger at small forward, where Sprewell plays out of position. That's why the Knicks will step up their efforts again to acquire Keith Van Horn, whose season ended badly in Philly. The 6-10 Van Horn can play small forward and Don Chaney actually loves him. The Sixers rejected Sprewell at the Feb. 22 deadline.

Scott LayDown's neck is on the line now (although it should have been a LONG time ago!). If he doesn't trade up and get the Knicks an impact player (either via the draft or a trade) this offseason, he's outta here. NY is too big a market and Cablevision is losing too much money for LayDown's job to stay intact. We were better off with Checketts.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
