There's about 50 million articles on the home page too, so I only picked this one, b/c it has a video clip attached.

Gotto say, Dolan is one arrogant man.

I honestly believe that he doesn't give a damn if he wins this case. The only thing important to him is that he maintains his image as the emperor, without clothes, of his kingdom.

The worst thing that can happen for him is that he'll have to write a check for $10M and have this go away. That's always how he's handled problems in the past so why should that bother him? Admitting that he isn't in complete control and would let an employee tell him how to run things would be MUCH more damaging to him. It just would never happen. That's why he wouldn't settle and let this go to court. So he can make it known that he's in control and nobody forces him to do anything.

Knicks fans are so ****ed with this arrogant psychopath running things.

I found it hysterical and pathetic that Dolan's underlings at Cablevision call him "Triple" behind his back. From the old joke that goes, "He was born on 3rd base and thinks he hit a Triple".

The only good thing about this, other than having Starbury's, Isiah's and MSG's dirty laundry being aired in public, is that it's now obvious that Dolan isn't completely attached to Isiah. He'll hang him out to dry if he has to, in order to protect his image. Eventually the Knicks image will be so bad, even Dolan won't be able to ignore it and he'll have to let Isiah go.

Hopefully that's this year.

According to newsday the AP reported that the judge said that Annucas team presented a weak case.

This all seems to me like extortion. If this was sexual harrasment why not file a claim with the EEOC?

The lady was a hard to work with, had problems with many people and did her job badly. She also used MSG expenses in some tax fraud scheme and would put up murals of Knicks that had already been traded according to Mills.

part of her case is also "wrongful termination" which explains why we're hearing all this bad stuff about the garden...her glowing reviews...her promotions and salary raises...all to be taken away after an investigation of sexual harrassment. and dolan admitting to not consulting counsel before firing her kind of works in her favor.

Once again wrongful termination could have been an EEOC matter but did she ever file a claim? No.

Dolan doesnt have to consult council to not want to keep a lady that has so much going against her including in his opinion interfering with her own investigation

How many workers can claim a companies (MSG) expenses on their personal tax returns for a personal company that never even existed involving that company (MSG) in her own personal tax fraud and keep her job?

Of course they will bring up all the problems she had now. If not now then when? One paper said ABS yelled at Clarence Weatherpoon about his weight and had many clashs with Vangundy. Reportedly she often over stepped her bounds and had plans to become president of MSG. Maybe thats a cause of friction for her with Isiah. This ladies issues were not only with Isiah.

I could see her "winning" a small severance package. I doubt it will be 1 million never mind 10 million. Maybe it will be 260k (1 years salary). If the jury follows the actual law I dont even think she will win.

Retaliation is the issue here...Isiah may not be convicted, but part of the code of conduct at most companies is that if someone files a complaint, it is not a good idea to fire that person, especially after receiving bonuses and above average performance reviews. Pretty much, when someone is fired, there must be "just cause," something all Knicks fans are aware of (see LB case). If they are fired without merit and there is an on-going investigation regarding a complaint, it is perceived as retaliation. Therefore, there needs to be substantive evidence as to why that individual was fired...the deposition only discloses that an employee was terminated because the boss didn't like what was going on. There are repercussions for that. And that is the key to this entire lawsuit.

However, this case pretty much aired out very bad things about the organization, specifically, Isiah and Stephon Marbury. Dolan is Dolan. He owns the place and he is the sole proprietor. Now he may be seen as the "court jester" but the reality is that the team is NOT going to be sold and he will remain the owner. If Isiah is NOT convicted, he will remain the coach.

However, it is very possible that Marbury will become the GOAT...he is already good enough at making an ass of himself, coupled with his bizarre interviews, an admission that he had a fling with an intern and the overall bad PR he generates (sorry the Starbury shoes are yesterday's news). If a concession has to be made to appease the masses, jettisoning/waiving Marbury, might be the result...plus we need roster space.

I don't bet against Dolan-Thomas-Marbury. They tend to win. (The franchise and the team lose, but these guys win.)

I predict a raise, the "MSG Award for Management Excellence," and another contract extension for Thomas. I also predict another six years of Marbury as point guard, and his jersey hanging from the rafters at MSG after that.
