They just signed Charlie Bell to an offer sheet and let me tell you it will be a huge pick-up. I told you guys they were due to acquire another free agent. Better start listening to me. Bell doesn't want to play in Milwaukee at all. Bucks offered him a 3yr deal/$9mil without a PO on the 3rd yr and he and his agent turned it down. More than likely Miami has offered him a 3yr $12mil contract. I doubt the Bucks match. And they may make another move.

The Miami Heat announced today that they have signed guard Charlie Bell to an offer sheet. Under NBA rules, the Milwaukee Bucks now have seven days to match the offer or the restricted free agent will be a member of the Heat. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bell, a 6’3”, 200-pound guard, appeared in all 82 games (64 starts) for the Bucks last season and averaged 13.5 points, 3.0 assists, 2.9 rebounds, 1.18 steals and 34.7 minutes. A three-year NBA veteran, Bell began his NBA career after signing with the Phoenix Suns as an undrafted free agent on July 23, 2001. In addition to playing for the Suns and Bucks, he also saw action with the Dallas Mavericks during the 2001-02 season. For his career he has averaged 10.9 points, 2.6 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 28.2 minutes while shooting 43.7 percent from the floor and 75.7 percent from the foul line.

The Milwaukee Bucks will have one week to match the offer or relinquish the rights to Bell.

Bell said on Saturday that he did not wish to return to the Bucks. Milwaukee had offered a three-year, $9 million contract to the former Michigan State player.


5yrs $18mil I doubt the Bucks match that just another signing that makes you shake your head at the Jeffries and James signings.

I forgot I must find the absolute lowest standard to compare to so that we come out shining like a diamond. Charlie Bell is probably better than any guard on our team sans Richardson(when healthy).

Wtf? Why can't we talk about a good Miami signing? Nah we gotta bash the knicks. Sick of that ****. Its not even funny. Every single thread? Come on already!

Smush and Charlie bell are combo guards. Those dudes will have to split time around wade. What's up wit white chocolate?

Who is their small fwds? Who is in their front aside from zo and haslem?

How do the knicks match-up? I think the knicks are better. That's just me. David lee is better than haslem and he is on the bench behind zach. Marbs, craw, Nate and mardy is better than Miami's backcourt. Shaq is old and even though he is still better than curry they are a lot closer now than ever. Nobody on Miami can guard zach.

Wade is good but he can drop 25 while craw drops 50pts on his ass.

Heat lose out but they were close I guess. Kind of shocking considering the events leading up to the match offer.
