If it comes down to needing to free up one last roster spot for a Demtris Nichols or somebody, and Isiah was deciding between cutting Jerome or cutting Malik. Who would you tell Isiah to keep as our 12 man. Which player deserves to make the team over the other? VOTE FOR THE KEEPER Is it JJ for the height and shot blocking, or Malik for his veteran leadership and heady play?
Jerome James -3yrs 18.6 mil left on his deal
Malik Rose -2yrs 14.75 mil left on his deal

Malik in a walk. His contract is easier to move and he can contribute more on the floor.

Malik. Character wise, he sets a good example for the younger players.

Not even MARV gonna vote for JJ?
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Honestly, I have a problem with cutting JJ.
That mofo never showed up in shape. I say don't send him home to his playstation
to earn $5MM/year on his couch. Cutting him is like
giving in to the demands of terrorists. Then every other player coming to the Knicks
will think he can get a free ride if he tries little enough.
At least make him do suicide drills. 12th man doesn't play anyway.

Cut JJ2. He just sucks.

Too late Bip. I got him.

I voted Jerome actually, we have people better than Rose in spades at his position, however we do not really have anyone who could play the pivot if disaster struck and Curry went down with an injury.

Jerome, as much as it hurts to say, is more of a value in terms of on the court.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

JJ has had a shot to play for us on several occassions. What has he done with those opportunities? I seem to recall 5 minutes of greatness, 2 minutes of waving his hand calling for a sub and 41 minutes of sitting on the bench with 5 fouls. Has he helped us to win games? Would playing Zach or David or Malik or Morris at center really hurt us much more than having JJ at that spot?

Malik Rose is a championship player. May not be very good b/c of his height, but he sure has played some valueable defense in certain games and he gives it his best, and he's also a leader. Isiah loves the guy too. Every coach seems to actually.

Again, his height hurts him bad, but all of the above are true, and I'd take all that over the 1 ounce of talent and the overweight 7'0" body of Jerome James.
