Its been 6 years now.

Who are they fighting? What's their uniform? Flag?

We were after bin laden, but we went after Saddam. So who are we fighting now? And why are we losing?

Just curious.

In a thread having nothing to do with marbury, one of the usual suspects answers the call of duty.

Actually I was watching CNN and they were talkin about it.

Since you are into translation,
What is an insergent? What color is their uniform?

I know that and anyone with common sense knows that.

I just wondered if anyone can justify anything our goverment has done under bush.

Also, slowly but surely under the "fear" of terrorism, the goverment has been taking away freedoms.

A few days ago some transit cops stopped 3 guys from riding in between cars. Instead of just giving them a summons they were arresting them. With one of the men in cuffs, another pulled out a gun and holds one of the cops hostage. Now, what was the initial crime? Riding in between cars? Does that warrent and arrest? Anyway, the cops end up killing the guy after a wild shoot out on the subway platform. They say that a good percentage of dudes that ride in between cars have drugs or weapons on them. That's crazy. When did they find that out?

I forgot who it was that blasted me for hating cops on here. I'm not blasting cops individually here. Its just what they tell these guys to do.

Random searches of people. That is a violation of privacy. Its a damn shame how they are using terrorism to violate peoples rights. Even if guys have stuff on them. Are we looking for weapons of mass destruction? Or are we looking to lock up more and more people over petty ****.

Also I want to point out the racial nonsense going on in I believe new Orleans over a segregated tree. There was a fight between whites and blacks over it. Long story short, the white people got over on a minor charge and the black people are being charged with attempted murder. They both had weapons and were doing the same ****.

Its 2007. Katrinas 9th ward still looks like Iraq.

My blackberry works fine though. I guess as long as that type of stuff still works the people will continue to allow all this crazy stuff to go on. This is a land of freedom and for the people. Democracy?

Some simple facts:
Bush and Neo-conservatives came to power after military and oil multinationals finance the elections.
We lost more than 3000 lives, countless wounded, mentally and physically handicapped.
Iraq lost hundreds of thousands of lives and millions get displaced
US taxpayers spend more than 1 billion on war.
The multinationals get hundreds of billions in profits and paid almost none in taxes. Some of them not even based in US anymore…
The end of the circle.
Who is paying - is ordering the music.

What bothers me is that no one cares about the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians who have died because of the events we set into motion. All we ever hear about are the 3000 US soldiers as if their lives are more important than the Iraqis' lives.

I meant trillion.
250 billion is an old number. It is approaching 500 billion direct and will be 1 trillion when Bush term will be over.
Tell me about supreme mortgage crisis. The government is the one who is in deep depth... forever.
Is the big foreclosure coming?

You got it absolutely right. The only thing they are trying to stabilize is the ability of oil companies to get the oil.
Now that Bush is drawing up plan for Iran it makes it more clear that no challenge to the oil supply will be tolerated. If we are going to have Iraq fight Iran again we could've just left Saddaam in charge. They go at it every few years any way.

From what I found, the official numbers were closer to 250 billion. The unofficial numbers will definitely pass 1 trillion if they haven't already. They lose track of money over there. They literally cannot find the cash! And not like a few hundred thousand. They cannot find $9 billion in cash! http://www.vanityfair.com//politics/features/2007/10/iraq_billions200710?printable=true¤tPage=all

It is not about oil supply - it is about who is getting profits from oil supply.
The only reason why Saddam was removed was his drive to divert the pipes to Russia and replace American groups with Russian, French, and German based companies. It is quite clear why these countries were against the whole war thing. It is so obvious even child can understand this but not American people. Too much of brainwashing

Yes most Americans do worry about Americans first before Iraqis. Thats not unusual. Would you worry about people in your family being killed more than people in somebody elses family being killed?

As far as the hundreds of thousands Iraqi civilians killed you mentioned by the last count I saw it was under 80,000 not hundreds of thousands as you claim. You also fail to mention is its usually not American soilders killing them but other arabs/muslims killing them.

Agreed. Majority of the casualties (Iraqi and American) are because of the Shiah v. Sunni civil war.
