According to the The Bergen Record, former Knick Allan Houston will give it a shot in NJ's training camp:

According to multiple league sources, the Nets will offer Houston a "make-good" contract for the veteran's minimum. If the shooting guard accepts and his body holds up through next month's training camp, he will be on the team this season.

Reached by telephone, [Lawrence] Frank said, "You have to be very, very impressed with him wanting to play. It's not financially motivated. He probably feels he has some unfinished business. He had a very, very good workout."

Knicks seemed to have no interest b/c of their non roster space. Allan can go wherever he wants as far as I know.

Didn't we just read an article where the Nets said they have no interest in him? This is why I take every article with a grain of salt and just wait until the season starts and see where he ends up.

please o please, just for the sake of entertainment value, let allan houston sign with the nets so we can be treated to rants from silverfuel on this topic all season long!!

I kinda hope he can sign with the nets. That's just fuel for the rivalry. Then again, there's no rivalry unless the knicks are winning.

i will be highly disappointed if he joins up w/our crosstown hated rivals... why not the Pistons, San Antonio, Houston, Phoenix, etc? surely those teams could use a sharpshooter off the bench.

There is no loyalty in business. Houston did his part to come back, but wasn't able to, the Knicks gave him the contract and paid. There fault for giving him that much. If the Nets have the best situation for Allan, and they want him, then nothing we can do about that. He prolly wants to play with Kidd.

i know all about that... i'll still be disappointed tho... don't tell me ur gonna enjoy seeing Houston in a NJ Net uniform.

One of my favorite personal moments from him was a game when he shot down the Nets, a few years ago, in the 4th quarter and led the Knicks to a victory.
