Playa, this is what I am talking about regarding on the FBI keeping tabs on people for generations. Nothing that happens these days is not any different. Things have never gotten worse as you claim, its just as phuched up now as it ever has been.

Back in the day citizens didn't have the vast media outlets and internet sites that we are privy to in 2007.

All kind of conspiracies are being exposed now a days and people don't want to belive them...it overwhelms the avg citizen so they choose to not believe.

Until its mainstream media, they won't believe. But remember our country works better under "faith" than reality.

Same is true for most religions. The bible is taken literally by many. One could intellectually pick it a part but no matter how many discrepencies or facts that are really just interpretations to further its survival, people choose to believe in it regardless.

For example, even if the WTC 9/11 terror was aided by our government and there were no weapons of mass destruction, what did it accomplish?

First off if the UN never found anything then it was set to recommend that Iraq be able to export oil over and above its santions and giving Saddam free cash flow to buy more weapons was not a good idea. It might have been catistrophic given the stated intentions of him and Iraq.

2500 people died at the wtc. A dirty bomb, or biological event would kill tens of thousands. I biological attack or worse on Isreal would command a retalitary sh!t storm by Isreal would would kill perhaps 100s of thousands in the arab world, and perhaps faced with its own extinction Isreal would light up the region killing millions and discruping the oil supply for 40 years.

Now don't get me wrong, I am only speculating but America does not do pre emptive strikes unless provoked. Period.

While I think Bush is a 3 class moron and I am still baffled he was elected, and I think the execution of the above we not close to first rate, one has to look at the big picture and maybe things unpopular HAD to get done for the "Greater GOOD"! And of course a few americans get super wealthy off of it at the same time.

Collectively our country is short sighted, instant gratification oriented, and mistrusting of what they don't understand (human nature, not just an Amaerican trait") so there are times the power must be taken from the people and things need to get done.

And that is scarey! Very scarey.

If we were really attacked ON 9/11 and really at war then the borders would have been secured, all immigration legal and illegal would have been shut down, domestic muslims would either have been put in detention camps or had their citizenship revoked, or been repatriated en mass out of the US.

Where do you get these notions? Just because the US reacted in a certain way to Pearl Harbor (which bought us a lot of heat) doesn't mean we'll do the same again in this day and age.

The idea of repatriating all muslims is too ludicrous. You'd be sending away all your best Doctors, Engineers, etc... The US would not do that.

It would be nice if you were at least equally as paranoid about everybody. Iran is a pretty ****ing bad country. If you don't see that they at least as bad as you THINK our government is, than its hopeless.
