Derek Ward out for the year w/a broken fibula... first Kiwanuka, now Ward... ouch! this kid was our only real viable backup option to Brandon Jacobs... Ruben Droughns is not an everydown RB in my eyes.

let's hope Jacobs is back healthy next week & can stay healthy for the rest of the year, or else this team's in big trouble if they're gonna put the season exclusively on Eli's shoulders.

I agree. Bradshaw needs to learn pass protection(blitz pickup) asap so we can use his running abilities. Rueben is just simply a short yardage specialist now. BJac needs blood from Claire or Adam to heel quickly.

LOL! that's the ticket!

Looking more and more like Jacobs will play Sunday. But Wilson will still be out.

Jacobs almost fumbled away the game this week. Perhaps he should've rested again. The D played great, Plax played great, and I though Eli played a great game under a lot of pressure today and with no running game. No turnovers and several good passes- he played the way they needed him too today.

This was a good win, because the Giants had their starting 2 safeties out and were starting two rookies: Johnson, a 7th rounder and Dahl, an undrafted player. And they didn't give up ANYTHING downfield. The longest pass before the last drive was an 18 yard screen. That was a huge performance by the 2 rookies.

Plax looks like he's getting his lateral movement back, but he doesn't have that breakaway speed back yet... still, u can see just how much better Eli looks when he's got a somewhat healthy Plax catching balls for him... this guy is the team's MVP imo.

& yeah bro, those kids played great today, especially that kid Dahl... he was all over the place.

People were shocked when Dahl made the team cause he struggled some in the preseason. But the one thing that was good about him was that he ran and hit and hustled his ass off all over the field. You could see he had the AA and motor to be a good player if you could give him some time to learn the D. He stepped in a did a solid job today. Johnson has made some mistakes, but mostly he's been flashing that he could be a playmaker. Both guys look fast.

again i seem like a pessimist but i can't see the giants winning more than last year. as a matter of fact i think they might win less with a 7-9 record. yeah, tiki may be a diva but he was 40% of our offense the past three years. i am not sold on manning yet and it will be a difficult year because he will be asked to be the main man of this offense which is not a pleasant thought. our secondary is still suspect as well as unhealthy though i do like the potential of ross. brandon jacobs showed signs last year but he is not tiki and will struggle as well as droughns. in our division alone, we are not better than any team except maybe the redskins but they can suprise us. however, there is a silver lining. it is almost assured that it will be coughlin's last year if they screwed up. i am not down on coughlin like others but i know when it is time to go and for him it is time to go. we will have a high draft pick to help build around manning. i think manning will blossom under another coach with a new staff. so this year is really a transistion period or rebuilding year but the next two years are key especially with dallas and philly aging. we need to replace strahan though. maybe tuck is our answer. it will be an interesting year to say the least.

well, i will first like to officially admit that i was wrong about the giants. they definately exceeded my expectations. though they are winning ugly, they are winning. they have learned how to keep a game close and win at the end. as a matter of fact, i feel confident that they will win games if they are within a touchdown in the fourth. this is the sign of a mature team, though nerve racking. the amazing thing is that the offense have definately slowed down and made MANY mistakes the past month but they still find ways to win. i am proud of this team.

I'm trying to find the stat, but the Giants defense has given up very few points unrelated to turnovers since the first couple weeks. They have been a shutdown unit it a good number of games this year.

very important weekend. this would be a classic game that the giants can mess up playing in. they need to stay focus because the skins can turn it on against any division rival. i hate these gfames because they are so unpredictable.

This game will be tough because its a night game in the dead of winter and it will cold and snowy. Bad weather is the ultimate equalizer in the NFL.

its supposed to snow that night? oh yeah, nothing like december football with snow. jacobs and portis are going to have a good day. jacobs better remedy his fumble-itis though because it will be harder for him to hold the ball that day.

seriously... he needs to start doing what Coughlin made Tiki do & carry that ball up to his chest... he's been fumbling way too much lately.

i knew this would happen. i wonder why they have a difficult time winning at home? well, if they make the playoffs, they won't have to worry about playing at home. it was a bad lost on the field and off since shockey is out for the season. he has done so much this season like the little things to help us win, particularly blocking. i think our backup is that rookie mathews and he is strictly in there for blocking so look for us to run even more the next couple of weeks. the bills will be tough since they are still, i believe, in the playoff hunt. however, we should definately win this game. manning again needs to step up.

What an awful game to go to. So freaking cold and puddles of slush everywhere in the parking lot. I was freezing my ass of watching the Giants play a third stinker in a row at home.

The Giants are not a cold weather team. Eli doesn't play well in the cold weather and the coaches don't know how to gameplan for cold weather. How many downfield passes are you gonna throw in high winds? 52 passes? Seriously?

nevermind the playcalling... how about the pisspoor pass catching? Amani dropped a ball that fell right into his hands on a 40 yard route... what the hell is up w/these guys & their lack of focus as the season wears on? are they thinking about the playoffs before they even begin or what? i don't get it... if they don't beat BUF next week at their place, they're gonna face possible playoff elimination at the hands of the undefeated Pats at Giants Stadium the week after.

It just popped into my head that, back a few years ago, when the GIANTS hired Kevin Gilbride (Offensive Coordinator), a buddy of mine, a Bills fan, said to me: "...Good luck with Gilbride. We used to call him Killdrive when he was with Buffalo..."

THIS DUDE IS A DISASTER.

We might as well fire him now. The offense needs a shake up. I doubt he is retained if we sputter the rest of the way -- might as well see if firing him sparks the team and if a new play-caller can breathe life back into the offense. I'm afraid of watching this guy try to manage a playoff game -- that is, if they make it.

Yeah they dropped the ball alot but you cannot pass 52 times into high winds and cold weather b/c A) the ball will sail on you and B) the ball is as solid as an ice cube. It was a doomed gameplan from the start.

N.Y. Giants: Can clinch playoff berth: 1) NYG win or tie; OR 2) WAS loss or tie + NO loss or tie.
