http://www.hoopsstats.com/basketball/fantasy/nba/new-york-knicks/team/rankings/07/20/1

Knicks are Ranked:

* 29th in Turnovers

* 29th in Blocks

* 28th in Assists

* 27th in Steals

Cot-Daym!

Hah, so basically the story is, we give up the ball too much, and then don't get back on defense.

Pshh, no wonder we're always trailing teams.

'Course you guys coulda probly guessed this much without all those fancy stats, but I mean, we're like the worst of the worst of the worst in those regards.

SUGGESTIONS

* Get Crawford the eff-you-see-kay out of here.

* Trade Curry or Zach for a shotblocker friggin ASAP pronto!

* S&T Nate, Jones, & Dickau for Pietrus.

Just my $.02

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

The assist number is maddening, especially considering how many guys we had last year who could get into the lane at will.

Jamal, Steph, Curry, Nate our mainly one on one players. Not a lot of assisting on the baskets they make. That is one of our issues and an obvious one. That's why we need our PG's to be on their game this year. With the addition of Zach at the PF, the passing game didn't get any better.

knicks also rank 17th in 3fga, 19th in 3fgm, but only 24th in 3fg%

considering we are going inside out all the time, that should've been a need that was addressed this summer.

nichols may help but not anytime soon.

There's one stat that woudl really make a huge difference right away and that's TO's. Just by lowering that number we would fix a lot of our problems. Not giving up so many TO's would immediately help the defense, cuz we wouldn't give up so many easy baskets. We'd be able to get set on D more often and that does help even a weak defensive team.

The assists is a tough one to fix. As was mentioned we don't have a team of passers, so to some extent that will always be low, but Wash has been a high scoring team and they are always a poor assist team. It's actually quite amazing that they can do that. I think we'll be a bit like that from here on out, tho I do expect some improvement in this area. There's no way we end up with avg'ing only 18.7 again this year.

Shotblocks may go up slightly or may not. I'm not really that concerned. I'm more concerned with guarding the 3pt line and shutting down penetrators with better perimeter D.
