Do I really need to explain why?

I'll just assume DJ or someone will do it for me...

Thanks in advance.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Its really a question of who you want the offense flowing through.
I'm willing to see what happens when Craw is a fourth scorer rather than jacking up shots.
If we got Odom, we might be more balanced, but you'd go back to the same scorers as last year.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I can understand your liking Odom. He has a good team oriented game that would seem to fit nicely with Curry's game. I just don't see it happening. We don't know exactly what Zach's impact will be I would prefer to see how this works out. I think we're getting Zach at a good point in his career.

odom is a choke artist....

hes good, but dissapears for long stretches in games, he has skills to be a pippen type, but he just doesnt have the drive

I'd rather have Zach right now. He seems to be raising the stakes regarding his level of play. Odom is definitely a player but I have a feeling Zach is going to explode here, and hopefully the team will follow.

Another factor to consider is that Odom is almost two years older than Zach.

Speaking of which Zach is the Stephon Marbury of big men...

Why get players who compliment each other when you can have redundant players?

Odom is a small fwd. He gets around 10 rebounds per and can defend the 4 but that doesn't mean he should be a 4 for the knicks. He needs to ball handle and the knicks don't need that at the 4.

Now if you are talking bout trying to get odom to play with zach and curry you are on to something. Odom is at his best when he is playing the team game. He would be great for both post players and perimeter guys. Also better that artest probably.

That would be a better idea. I think people get so caught up in perceptions that they don't realize what the actual player is capable of or limited too. Zach is MUCH more of a consistent threat. The guy is a BEAST. Just look at his activity level and the way he forces his will upon teams. Odom is more of a blend in guy, which might seem like a good thing until you get in crunchtime situations and you're looking for someone to take the game by the throat. Zach has that killer instinct. I like that. He's is going to be fouled or score and there's not doubt in his mind. I don't get that same feeling from Odom. He's more of a middle of the game player. He'll do all those little things that make a team go smoother, but in crunchtime he's less effective. I really like out PF/C group. I see no need to change it at this point.

If the choice was Artest or Odom at SF, i'd prefer Odom. He's not a nutjob and he's a team player. Of course this is fantasy league stuff, cuz we're not getting Odom without something good to send to LA.

Typical people wouldn't be open to a trade that clear 36 million in cap space not to mention give the knicks one of the best pf in basketball who already dominated the east with the heat.

We don't need someone that is going to be a black hole. Odom abuses pf off the dribble and you can slot him in at the sf position at times thus givin curry two guys that can get him the ball. He is vastly underated because of Kobe who pretty much cripples the offense.

Odom is better than Curry and would average 19 9 5 and has the ability to carry a team if they utlize him

Agree with this trade- in the sense that I would love to have a starting front court of Curry, Odom & Lee. That has balance, movement & rebounding.

Zach & Curry are kinda black holes on offense- while Zach might be a better passer than Curry, clearly Odom is better than Zach- and we were what- in last as far as turnovers? Odom, I think, would help in that dept.

I've never been a big Odom fan- but if we sent Zach for Odom & perhaps cleared salary/roster spots & perhaps added a pick back- I think that would be a good deal.

Well I thought it was obvious, but I'll give ya my Letterman rundown:

10. He's from NY.

9. Not coming off microfracture surgery

8. Doesn't have to worry about Ruben Patterson exacting revenge...

7. Hasn't beat up any hookers lately.

6. One of the best passers in the business.

5. 10 ribbies a game.

4. Can hit the 3.

3. Contract 2 years shorter (same time as Marbury)

2. Allows David Lee to FINALLY start at the 4.

And last but not least

1.) B/c I said so......"DO IT.......DO IT...."
